Dubon is more likely to hit into a DP. I get that odds are low to come out on top with 2 outs in the 9th, but Meyers and Grae would have been better options as a PH than Dubon slightly.
And the Astros won 2 out of 3 there (with back to back shutouts) earlier this year when they were hot as **** and hadn’t lost a home game and hadn’t gotten shut out in 3 years, etc. etc. etc…..
correct. I’m just assuming worst case scenario. That seems like a difficult injury to bounce back from and be full strength but I know nothing
I hear Brown was BOASTING in the locker room last night. The players were having a HELLA LOUD laugh at him while he shouted I'M THE WORLDS GREATEST GM in PISS soaked trousers. @Nook @The Drake
Looks like Javier is back. Very Clear that he lost his release point due to fatigue prior to the allstar break. The wildness we have been seeing is him trying to relearn his 2022/early 2023 release. Really good work by the Astros pitching coaches helping him find that over such a short time. The spin was back last night and the swing and misses were there to show it. Big deal, because he is a true ace when going well.
This was the one encouraging thing from last night, Javier had a better start. Even though Javier hit about 19 batters, still settled down fairly well after that rocky 1st.
