I am not sure what I should do for my next car. I have a Toyota Camry that is 18 years old. If i buy another gas vehicle, I am afraid I won't be able to find gas stations in ten years. If I buy an EV, I am afraid I cannot find charging stations if I leave my home in the next couple years.

Transitions suck and are full of uncertainty, but your worries align with what most people think the future will be. I'd bet on that.

Do not trust ANYTHING that Elon Musk says or does. Tesla cars are shiny, but not well-built. Don't let the big tablet in the middle fool you. Elon wishes he was Steve Jobs, but he is basically Donald Trump...a scam artist.

Whatever the case, there’s probably never been an automotive CEO whose personal brand was so closely entwined with vehicle demand.

I'd prefer he not be so tied to the image of Tesla. I don't want my car to be an Elon Musk conversation starter.
    Musk Polarizes Car Buyers
There’s a clear relationship between Tesla owners’ opinion of Musk and whether they’d stick with the brand

I can't say it didn't play a part in why my wife and I chose the i4. Most of it was that the BMW just looks nicer and feels more well built...but Elon being what he is now was actually part of the conversation.

Is this not exactly what plug-in hybrids are made for?

Toyota Rav4 has a 40 mile range on its hybrid, which happens to be right about the average Americans daily work commute mileage

Doesn't hybrid require some gas at some point? I read a report that predicts by 2035 90% of gas stations will be out of the gas business, either switched to charging or gone out of business completely.

That report is complete nonsense, link?

it's not even projected that the US will be at 50% EV car PURCHASES by 2035, let alone fleet makeup.

I was reading comments from a instagram post about ford cutting prices on the F150 lightning..

a lot of "no one wants EVs" "evs are for liberals" evs are gay" etc.

    100 years from...in America..
still no bullet train + F-150 ICE #1 selling car...

Norway is at roughly 85% electric new car purchases, which is in line with a 25% electric fleet, they still have plenty of gas stations, 75% of their fleet is gas, but many of the gas stations are adding a few chargers. There are some sensationalist articles made, but they are sensationalist articles.

The US isn't projected to have 50% electric new car purchases until 2040-2050, looking at Norway's ratio of new car purchases to fleet, there's a really decent chance none of us live to see the day that gas at US pumps dies.

"Report" was actually a Taiwan news & current event talking shows I watched, One of the host mentioned something like that. If gas station is going to last beyond 2040, I will buy a hybrid next I think, maybe a hybrid accord.

Seems like Marvel is running GM. I fully expect Ms. Marvel to be the spokesperson now.

Buy a hybrid or plugin hybrid that gives you at least 50mpg (epa est).

It usually takes 50 years for a full car fleet replacement. Outside a federal ban, that timer won't start anytime soon.

How exciting! I saw two people wandering around where the cars were parked. And they were probably leaving.

EDIT: Alright, there may have closer to eight or nine people near the Teslas.
