Sure in a game of "what if" anything is possible. What is hardly up for debate is WHY both Williams and Maye are so regarded and earn their rankings among the QBs to be scouted and analyzed over the last few years. They are special.
Drake Maye basically **** the bed during his last 4 games last season. No excuse for losing to Georgia Tech, with AWFUL stats, last season. UNC's schedule is again pillowy soft except for Clemson, Miami, and maybe Pitt. UNC should win 10 games if he is as good as he is supposed to be. Then, let's see him against a good team in a bowl game.
We’ve been over this. First, no he didn’t. Second, he is their offense. Third, he is widely regarded as an elite prospect
Williams should be great...his attitude worries me. Maye is that Levis specimen-type that the NFL LOVES. He had very good production...except for his last 4 games (bowl was decent). He looked AWFUL against Georgia Tech, which may have been one of the worst teams in the country.
No one agrees with you. Maye is a more athletic Herbert and would have been the no doubt number 1 this year. Every scout agreed
Scarface and a few others always want to point out specific QBs bad games and make excuses for other types of QBs bad games. Stroud had bad games too, specially when factoring how much more talent he had around him
He’s a great QB. He was literally the best QB in the country in the pocket last year along with being one of the best runners. You can try and talk down all you want but he’s unanimously a better prospect than anyone in this past draft. And Caleb is an even higher level prospect. Which is nuts.
Pat Mahomes wasnt really leading Tx Tech to many signature wins either - just saying. Drake Maye is a slightly less athletic version of Anthony Richardson with accuracy. He is the perfect type of modern QB you can win with simply by turning his running ability into a weapon.
Um, Northwestern was the weather, you know that. The other games were not bad...lol. That Maye Georgia Tech game was HORRIBLE...there is no way to defend it. Just stop. Chalk it up as what it is.
