I watched this yesterday and was intrigued. There were several ways to read into what they were saying. And they covered several Rockets topics besides Green. Lowe's comment that the Rockets may be Vastly or Wildly Under Rated (cant recall his exact words). Tim didn't disagree ether. It echoes a sentiment of my own, but based in nothing really. Normally, wild reaches by my gut get ignored mostly. But this one has something more. Perhaps its my perception that we might actually have the right pieces. And the right guy to put it together. Sometimes, the end result exceeds the sum of its parts. Looking at the Rockets as separate parts, 32 wins may be right. But if those parts can be made to work like a well oiled machine, then the result could be beyond most peoples expectations.
As much as I would more rationally bet on the Rockets hitting 30-35 wins this year, I also think their ceiling is a bit higher than that. A frustrated group of talented youngsters finally has a coach who will push them, a real point guard (2, actually), and a chip on their collectively shoulder from being shat on the last couple of years. If all the pieces fall into place, I wouldn't be totally shocked to make a run at a play-in spot. I just wouldn't put money on it.
Why is Luka just walking around with his navy sweater and gray under armour shorts like he is too good for the drills?
Ya I actually posted it again by accident on his other thread. But I like what the trainer said about what he's concentrating on this season. Improving his change of pace game. Trainer explained that there is a certain type of strength, what guys like Luka have basically, that let's you not get pushed out of your spots when you do try to slow down. So he's concentrating on adding that strength into his game. This is going to improve his reads and court awareness also. When you are stronger, you aren't concentrating as much on trying to stay balanced. Improves so much of his game really.
