It is when it's one of our nation's leaders at the age of 81, when a fall can be (and may have been) catastrophic.

His look particularly bad, like there are more underlying health issues than just being 81. Or he beats up his staffers.

Easy, broad solution is to have easier access. Have a national holiday on Election Day then promote it as a patriotic duty. Free public transportation to election places, elimination of Jim Crow style laws, elimination of mail-in voter suppression.

Add automatic enrollment and another holiday for the primary process for starters.

Voters are like fair weather fans. Only show up during playoffs or finals.

Now, if he fell onto his back and wasn't able to roll himself over, that would be funny.

One of the most corrupt and worst people in government in the history of this country, would be great if he has to resign.

I think if you made it a positive, festive patriotic holiday it could grow into a yearly celebration like July 4 where the voting was just part of it.

how can it be secure if it is unsupervised? how do you know there was no bribery/intimidation or that the actual voter filled it out?

Seems pretty logical and easy to implement.

    Which means it'll never happen.

Bribery/intimidation at the individual level is not something I’m concerned about. It is also an issue unrelated (meaning it is applicable to all methods) to the method of voting. Centralized poll locations are, in fact, much more vulnerable to large-scale intimidation than decentralized voting.

what? voting at an election center with a secret ballot and observers everywhere is far less susceptible to bribery/intimidation

I just remember Granny and how easily she got bruised up in her octogenarian+ years, and she was on no blood thinners or anything.

"Damn, what the hell did you do to your arm?" "I walked outside and fed the dog, and somehow this happened."

Was poochie side-eyeing her menacingly while she said it?

No, Ruby was a good dog (border collie), all she wanted was to get belly rubs and herd animals.

Why this is not a national holiday is beyond me, its one of the most important decisions we all make as a country so give us the dam day off. It should be a celebration and make a day out it. I would still like to do my early voting on my own time simply due to the crowds.

You'd sit down on the porch and she'd sit in front of you staring in your face with her one yellow/one blue eyes...until you petted her. Then she'd lay down at your feet.
