They smoked the 103ish win Oakland A's, 4-0 IIRC...Billy Hatcher, Chris Sabo and Barry Larkin all went a bit nuts that series.
This game has been the most gutless I've seen the Astros look in awhile. They better damn well come back against the Rays on Friday. Tampa is a .500 team on the road.
Yeah Abreu got hot for about 3 weeks and that was nice. It’s just that 3 weeks out of 4 months is kinda light for 20 mil.
Chris Paul hits a HUGE three to cut the lead to 42 IDK why but I just had a feeling we were going to get a garbage time blast. We always get one in these situations, no matter who plays it seems.
Guy I grew up with is a Ranger Cowboy anything Dallas fan but stops posting **** in social media when they lose but crawls out from under his rock when they win. I told him what great confidence he has in his team, Cowboys TC can be his filler once he’s over the strangers
well, the series was won. sucks to lose this game in this method, but the real concern is if framber can get right
Can’t score 3, settle then expect to win. This team is lacking fire this year… hype. Considering the Alvarez/Altuve injuries simultaneously at depleting the offense and having the replacements carry this team (other than Tucker, McCormick, Bergman +/- being as dependable as they have been)… should’ve kept Yuli AND signed Abreu. Maldonada should’ve been put on a transition-out plan allowing Diaz/Lee more time behind the plate/DH. Keep Dubon as your UIF— let Meyers/Julks battle it out / rotate them in/out until you get enough of an idea who to keep / who to trade… Target Stroman, Rodriguez, Hicks, Montgomery(?), Snell (?)… Land 2 of the best available w/o losing too much… hell, there’s at least 3 players in lineups almost everyday that should be considered in a package. 2 of the best SP available who have an option or a year of control left… at minimum. Our pitching staff will not survive through September. Get back to hitting fundamentals/tech analysis, plate discipline… one thing I don’t see this year as in previous years are hitters not wearing down pitchers & making them work into high PC territory early (don’t see a lot of 7-8-9+ pitch ABs)… there’s a few of the more established guys that do this, but even some with multiple years of experience aren’t doing this. At least it doesn’t feel as often as it could be. Makes me think we have immature hitters who are pressing— that falls back on coaching/managing.
