I'd take the mediocre offensive from Pena from last year that could bop fastballs and swung wildly at sliders. I don't expect much from him even with Yordan or Tuck right behind him now. He's not even seeing fastballs well anymore. His pitch recognition and his desperation to not be fooled by sliders is fudging every else up. He's trying to channel post-season Pena and it's not working.
I agree but some are over the top with their constant negativity. But like I said I just laugh at it.
You should read posts from Yankee fan and every other team in MLB on twitter during games. Magnify this forum times 10. EDIT… On “X” not twitter
We are getting really close to the perfect lineup. We just need Maldonado to go on the 67 day IL for that nagging hang nail. Time to start hating Dusty for screwing up Diaz by limiting his ABs to only 2 games per week. Guaranteed that is happening. Sad. But hey he's got Pena batting 2nd, thank God.
They have music on so I’m not able to hear the crying from the Ballys pregame show about Altuve and Yordan returning. You’re ****ed, Oklahoma
Abreu's glove is starting to become unreliable. Hopefully it doesn't come up in the playoffs. Not sure he makes the play Mancini made.
Solid inning. Gets to work out of the stretch some, gets the infielders engaged and locked in, and gets their best hitters’ first AB out of the way.
I am decidedly NOT excited about 2.5 more years of Abreu. He kinda seems lazy out there, on both offense and defense. Not sure if he'll get better or if this is the decline...
