It’s not warm it’s hot. In the upper Midwest we might top 100 today. We’re on record pace for number of days where the temp passed 90. . At the same time this past winter we had several days where rather than snow it rained. you can deny it and call it a Leftist plot but it he fact you are paying more for insurance and other measures to deal With it show it’s happening.
Everyone has a right to emit but that’s like where everyone has the right to insult each other under free speech but obviously that would make society unworkable if we constantly exercised that right. The PRC are doing something but your own post shows that they feel entitled to continue emitting. This “global” just pressuring other countries to do more while your own country rationalizing not doing more isn’t going to solve the problem.
Weather is single data points so any single storm or daily temp is a data point. Putting those points together is where trends are determined. The trends are that it’s getting warmer. Just using the upper Midwest the winters (not just the summers) are getting warmer which is showing this isn’t just seasonal change. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/climate/climate_change_info/climate-trends.html
Can I get The Internet Police to say if this is a proper use of the word "irony"? Irony: Firefighting plane crashes in Greece, starting a new fire and killing two pilots
Can you do a comparison of what the US government have done and what the Chinese government have done to curb CO2 emission? For that matter, Chinese renewable energy is expected to be 33% of the country's total energy output in two years, while the US renewable energy is going to be 20%. The per capita CO2 emission of Chinese is 1/2 of per capita emission in the US. China is emitting CO2 because it is the manufacturing hub of the world, the government want to improve the standard of living for its citizens, it needs energy for that to happen, it is not possible without coal at the moment, I am not saying the Chinese government could not do more, of course they can, just like every other major developed country.
20% is 2022. The US is expecting faster adoption of in 2023 and for that acceleration to continue as the investment from the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act starts to come online.
We only have one governoring party in this country. It's sad and pathetic how useless the corrupt gop are at solving real issues. Scumbag Republicans are hellbent on destroying this country
Seems like the conservatives feel like this is their best shot… Trump can easily be bought and paid by the status quo.
Just FYI this "study" was funded by a conservative oil and gas industry lobbying group that's main objective is to disprove climate science. Just remember that anytime you see @AroundTheWorld post remember it's 99.999% full of **** and some right wing conspiracy talking point. You've lost it
Again you’re making my point. You’re arguing that they still Have to burn coal because they want to keep their economy and they the US isn’t doing more. The US argues the PRC should do more because it’s 3 times the US population. Climate change is a global phenomenon but most countries want other countries to do more. As I’ve said before every country could do more and it could Be done without a major sacrifice of lifestyle. Much of this is finding ways to incentive new technology.
