if yordan and altuve are not in the lineup tonight, then johnnie baker is straight up power tripping at this point. both guys have publicly said they're ready and healthy to play.
I understand that. What I'm telling you is that in the very beginning of the network, it was based in Houston and Esch was the main studio host. Then they moved to Dallas before the split between FSNSW and FSN Houston.
Don't worry, if they're back, it'll be the most frustrating lineup. 2B Altuve 3B Bregman LF Alvarez RF Tucker 1B Abreu DH Julks CF Meyers SS Kessinger C Maldonado
I think that is the reason why Diaz is catching Brown again, so he gets to play 2 days a week to avoid a fan revolt. I see Alvarez playing left 1 day a week, so Diaz would get to play at DH once a week. Probably the days Framber pitches.
stros are 6-3 against the rangers this year with today's game remaining and 3 more left at arlington (9/4-9/6) if they win today (or any of the remaining games), they have secured the h2h tiebreaker stros are 5-0 against the rangers for games within 2 runs (ie. close games), they have won the last 3 by 1 run each (in agonizing fashion for the rangers)
The Astros have been clutch/lucky/randomly good on the field regarding sequencing (i.e., make plays when they matter the most) and the Rangers have not. If Alvarez and Altuve are back(i.e., Astros have been unlucky with injuries), and Diaz doesn't ride the pine most games, I expect the Astros will outperform the Rangers in run differential going forward.
This an example of a sports fan who takes his sport too seriously. When the Astros lose, I am disappointed, but not "broken." Sports is for fun. When it is not fun, I just tune out for awhile.
Yep. Also Baltimore/TB similar differential discrepancy. Texas and TB certainly feasted on the league throughout the first 2 months of the season...
Looked at his minor league numbers. They are good. He's 28. Astros may have found another quality starter. For several years
"Ed, the...umm...Rangers have 114 more runs on offense than the Astros. Yet, the Rangers only lead the Astros by 1 game in the standings. It's like that time you gave your wife a $100 bill to go to the store to buy a gallon of milk. She comes home all fancied up with the milk and you ask her 'where's my change?'. She produces about a dollar in coins. (Ed: 'Hah ha ha...oh...no.') Then, you go 'where is the rest of it?' and she goes 'well, i had to do my hair and make-up!'. You then say 'It's time for bed. Wipe that stuff off your face!'."
It's also kinda nice when you have a player like France locked in under team control through their entire prime...
