Yup, no more drawn-out plays. Quicker decisions which allows for more team ball concepts which has plenty of advantages long term. Sure, at the end of the day you need your top guys to create plays when it matters most, right now this team needs more quick decisions and less predictability in the offense. Green can continue to work on his "2-minute drills" but in order for those to matter the games needs to be close and the habits the team is creating to close the gap from losing by 20 to close games and winning needs to be sustainable and cumulative.
No NBA player can 100% beat NBA players off the dribble every time. All the time laterally slower defenders stop more agile ball handlers from getting by them. And it isn't by matching their agility. It's because they have done this long enough where they can look at the feet and body and time the movements.
I wish Sengun would put in the same level of work as Jalen or myself instead of practicing Kenny Smith dunks from 1991. TST
So these guys when they talk about "hearing stuff", who they hear from? Lowe talks about the Ignite people, and we all heard that two years ago, where they basically threw Kuminga under the bus and were talking-up Green profusely. That was a bit strange, but whatever. Kuminga does look flaky, compared to Green. This whole thing was trash, though. Nix and Todd are simply not NBA material, Kuminga is a flake, so yeah, by comparison Green looked pretty good. Since then, however, Green has made $20M. He’s set. Are the Mcmahon-heard “concerns’ more recent, coming from the Rockets? I personally think that Green will shape-up and put-in great effort to get the extension. After that, nobody knows…
McMahon is very well connected. He’s had some super saucy scoopes over the years, especially Dallas-Houston related. Lowe is too, but he is more national. Lowe mentions the “Ignite people", but that’s old news
Lol, did you even hear what he said? "Based on what I hear" for Macmahom isn't sources. It's the same boomer jump to conclusion thing you do by seeing that he paints his nails and has social media accounts that have fashion in them.
Machoman mentions nothing. He just said "from what I hear". No one on the Rockets internal staff would ever tell him Green has poor work ethic. Lowe is right in the sense that Green's maturity growth isn't in work ethic and lifestyle choices, it's in understanding that it takes more than scoring to win games. Green is a very dedicated athlete in terms of taking care of his body, dedicating time to the gym etc. No one in the Rockets staff is concerned with that part of Green.
he does take care of his body… The big question is: is that for the NBA or for the runway and the photo shoots?
I think Jalen works hard, but there are questions about distractions from outside areas....that is reasonable. DD
It's been a long time since i paid attention to USA basketball, so can someone explain what the select team is? Just a team to train against like the 92 dream team scrimmages vs the college stars like Penny and CWebb? Also why is Jalen not on the actual Team USA roster, but someone like Austin Reaves is? Josh Heart? Paolo. No Mobley or Green(i know Cade is recovering)? Were they invited, but declined?
Good Rockets segment. I took that as MacMahon politely trying to say Green likes to party a bit much for being underage, as he clarified a bit after Lowe pushed back. Both agreed Green had lots of potential, but seemed like Lowe was overall higher on the Rockets.
