Still has to be Green, Smith, Sengun, Eason, Thompson, Whittmore. Green has way too much offensive upside to be disrespected. Smith has such a high ceiling. The young guns are too unestablished to truly evaluate.

On paper and from limited action, Amen Thompson has the highest ceiling. If you gave him a working jump shot, it's hard to think of a real limitation that Amen Thompson cannot improve on. I would argue he is the only player on this team that could realistically target every NBA award there is, whether it's an all-NBA team or an all-defensive team. However, this is a fancy new toy scenario, and Amen Thompson has yet to play through the harsh realities of NBA basketball.
Green had better G-league stats than him at a year younger. Amen has a lot to work on; A lot. We'll be lucky to get 7ppg and 4apg from him next season.
Amen literally had like 20 minutes of Summer league. It's classic mystery box syndrome to rate him higher than everyone else. There's going to be a lot of struggles just like every other rookie. I just hope people dont give up on him at the first sign of adversity.
Didn’t specifically list all our prospects, but listening to this podcast where they talk about our young guys and how our core might be underrated, it seems like Lowe had the top 4 like this Green Thompson Smith Sengun
This guy is definitely a member of the BBS. It's noted by his argument on Sengun and his height stagnancy/gains over the summer... which really is a stupid summer boredom argument being had.
Soooo our top of the lottery picks 2, 3, 4 vs our 16, 17, and 20th pick?... Meh, doesn't matter, it's whoever has Sengun as the head honcho.
I think in terms of "power rankings" for me you have to consider their actual NBA performance, not just summer league (though that does come in to it) so I'd have them as so: Green (by far the most superstar flashes and big number games) Sengun (Shouldn't really be debatable. Not very flashy numbers but the experience and poise is clear and has been since day 1) Tari (His performance last season puts him here in the power rankings, he was great in summer league too so Jabari doesn't jump him yet) Bari (Summer league, nuff said.) Amen (Looks like everything he was tipped to be and more, very impressive young man. 3 months into the season i wouldn't be shocked if he moved 2-3 spots up on this board.) Cam (Looks solid, doesn't have the wow factor of Amen in motion though.) I think you could probably slot KPJ above Tari in truth, just not as a PG so it's hard to tell, and he's now at the age where he's technically no longer a true "young prospect" as even green and Sengun really only have a year left with that tag.
It is easier to answer the question Who has the best career under Ime........ Bari because Ime values Defense IF Ime favors this player. Cam will surprise a few people.
Rockets fans shouldn't want team 2 to win. If it does, the Rockets are screwed for the next 5 years. A 4, 3, 2 draft pick losing to 20, 16, and 17 means the front office botched the whole rebuild. As good as Whitemore, Alpi and Tari can be I don't see them as the primary motor for a contender in 2 years [Alpi has an outside chance]. Green and Amen need to be those guys. To answer the question, I think Alpi and Whitmore get cooked in 3v3 defense versus 2 hopefully-future-allstar star guards.
It is a gambler mentality. Lots of gamblers believe in their "wrong system" rather than accept they can't beat "house edge". Or the first tip in trading shares is "don't fall in love to shares and discharge them when it is necessary". Better them to admit their wrong ideas, grow-up and move on. I would pick Alp,Tari and Amen over Jgreen,Jabari and Cam. It means that Rockets draft order was good 1 out of the last three years. It happens.
I genuinely would like to know what makes people think Amen is going to fix his shooting problem like it's child's play. It's almost like they haven't watched Russell Westbrook or Ben Simmons at all. Potential is there, sure. But if he doesn't improve his shooting drastically he's much more likely to be Ben Simmons 2.0 than a perennial all-star. Jalen #1 Alperen #2 Jabari/Tari #3 Amen #4
Ben Simmons is a 3x all-star, All-NBA player, and 2x all-defensive 1st team and led the league in steals in 2020, all within his first 4 seasons. He literally was already a perennial all-star starting from his 2nd year into the league. The fact that Ben Simmons is considered a disappointment to the point that people forget the accolades he racked up in only his first 4 seasons is a testament to how incredibly high his ceiling is considered to be. If Amen Thompson is Ben Simmons but with genuine passion for basketball and in improving his game, he would be a perennial MVP candidate.
