I wonder how many wins Dusty cost the team by ****ing with Chas’ playing time for the first 3 months of the season.
Don't forget Montero's 3 straight implosions costing us all 3 games within a week period of time. This team might be on pace for 101-103 wins once again.
It was a close call Tucker lifted his foot and it didn't come down until the heel hit on the far side of the plate, and the tag was around that time or right at that time, so the tie goes to the runner, that is why the call stands instead of was confirmed. DD
Yep, his heel caught and it was bang bang so no way they turn over their HPUs call on inconclusive replay, if it was TX I’d agree also, ngl
Was there. Was dope. Surprised we kept coming back. Happy we did. Was disappointed Yordan wasn’t playing. Get him back in there.
I thought "stands" vs. "confirm" meant that they can neither confirm him safe or out, so they stand with the call on the field?
I love this so much…I hope he was out and they blew the call. That might make up for 1/27th of how I felt in 2016.
Yes that's what the umpire called. But he was out. I will say the blown call on ball 4 for Abreu was arguably worse, so it all worked out. Because that should have been a based loaded single. One last final note, the tag by the catcher is also terrible as he should have tagged him on his trailing leg, instead he got him on his trailing hip.
I just know they have a depleted farm system, and that can make things difficult when it comes to trades. Having said that... you definitely know way more than I ever will when it comes to baseball, so I'll just shut the hell up now.
Windmill was one of the fastest players I ever saw live- he sent everyone at first with the Astros. Dude would send Roy Campanella in a wheelchair home from first on a double. Windmill is pretty good now. I remember listening to him say he would time each player from each base and then try to sync whether he sends them with his internal clock - and after awhile they matched up. Said he also sees every throw from the outfielders for the season on tape multiple times when a new series starts. Now compare that to Cheo Cruz… love Cheo but sometimes some work needs to be put into it.
