It was still hit very hard and very shallow… he didn’t charge it… and that induced the send. If he charges it, even with a noodle arm, he’s out. Hell, he was almost out despite them hitting the cutoff man.
Please don’t engage in a forum for a team where they have statues outside their stadium celebrating clinching an ALCS… thank you. Also, I guess Jon Gray and Chapman are part of their D team… I wonder who’s going to be in their bullpen game tomorrow?
We’ll never know but you’re leaving accuracy out of the equation. Don’t let Lowe’s on target relay cloud your thoughts on how accurate Jankowskis throw may have been.
No - the Astros actually have what a lot of teams want, young and productive talent under team control - the question is how much of that the Astros are willing to trade. They have two of the top 50 prospects in baseball and they have 3 of the 5-6 best rookies in the league to move if they are so inclined. Also guys like Arrighetti are in demand as well.
Come on bruh. Really he honest. His slide was horrible and the entire foot came off the ground before going across the front of the plate. It didn't come back down until the other side of the plate. I was hoping to see one honest opinion on the matter perusing the posts, but alas that is definitely not the case. Oh well. Maybe someone will have the cojones to agree with me. I will say that it wasn't a shock they failed to overturn it. I'll say I was pleasantly surprised, however.
Well now you’re accusing him of having both a weak and a wild arm? Maybe he shouldn’t be their RF, lol… It was still a good send, regardless.
I can see analytics saying send guys to home a lot but it seemed like he went too far early on or just had incredibly bad luck. Anecdotel, but it doesn't seem like we have many runners thrown out any more even on aggressive sends.
