Yep, glad he is a hard worker - he is improving which is awesome but so far, lacks leadership skills. And hopefully he is off this list next year. DD
Took the words out of my mouth. We shall see...and this year (#3) will be the ultimate test to see if he is indeed a true star that can carry a team (with good coaching) or just an athletic scorer (who really enjoys the off the court fame/fashion/nail polish).
Brooks checking in here along with Jalen?!! Hot damn. Gotta get his 3pt% up, but it's been low throughout his career
He is only 21 kinda dumb to expect leadership skills from him. Honestly very few great players in the NBA can be considered great leaders. For example Kobe, Shaq, MJ, KD, Kawhi etc none of these guys were or even effective leaders. I think Jalen is on track to be a star in this league with his performance so far.
See, I think leadership is recognizable....to me Amen has it......Green does not.........Jabari and KPJ sorta have it.....Brooks does not.....Sengun might as well. DD
Agree with Amen. Jabari is clutch (I’ve seen enough to know he’s not afraid to take big shots - and make them) jury is still out on what Jalen actually is….he may eventually be a tease piece.
Future allstars/superstars are not the most efficient players in their first couple of years, especially when they are really young. The best judge is ppg/age/year. That list is all allstars or more for Jalen. When you check Jalens age and ppg with it being his second year it puts him in elite company and of that company he is nowhere near the least efficient in the second year.
