But you're okay with the Christian Nationalist MAGAs telling everyone else what to believe and legislating what people should believe. Typical of you to talk about Muslims when the Christian Nationalists are more of a direct threat to the U.S.
Wait a minute... A trans person allegedly broke a law and did something awful? That changes EVERYTHING! If one person who is Trans did something bad, ALL TRANS PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS. WE SHOULD ALL BE AFRAID OF ANYONE TRANS! Run for your lives!
He is no more or less hateful than DeSantis. He is a self serving narcissist- just like tubby in Florida.
THIS is what can shut down transgendered surgeries for minors. The court will ultimately decide- but these suits get expensive quickly.
Except this sounds like a more straight forward case for medical malpractice of a botched treatment. This suit doesn’t seem Much different than suing a plastic surgeon for a botched breast augmentation. That doesn’t meant that breast augmentation surgeries are ended.
Correct- but it opens the door. In law, even if it is only tangentially related, once suits are filed - it leads to other suits that can be on point. Also two of the suits are on point - and there really isn’t going to be much of a defense for it - the plaintiffs were minors.
I hate these type of comparisons. Like ya I really don't care about Newsom. But man I feel like only a straight white male could say this when DeSantis targets hate towards any group that isn't that. Newsom at least doesn't do that. Easy for someone who isn't a target of that type of hate content to say "both are the same". No... They... Are... Not.
That isn't what I mean by both are the same - both are cut from the same clothe - they use cultural wars to strengthen their political power. If I haven't been clear - I do not agree with DeSantis on 90% of his political positions, and all of his culture war positions. I have been very critical of him as a candidate and said that he is dangerous. Their "sameness" is in how they choose to go about their political power. As far as not being a target of DeSantis - I am a white male and there is a whole bunch of entitlement that comes with that. However, DeSantis would not like me or my lifestyle. He is against polyamory, he isn't a fan of Arabs (which my wife is), he also would not like that I am an atheist, that I am very close to non-binary people and trans persons, and he would be against my positions on gun control and abortion.
DeSanris couldn't give two shots about male infidelity and being promiscuous. The white conservative patriarchal hiearchy allows white men to be promiscuous with women and still maintain their positions of power. DeSantis panders. That means there is no value in pandering to the small percentage of people who are part of his base that would care about a white male sleeping around. I'm pretty sure most of the men he hangs around with probably aren't true believers of Jesus and are probably agnostic/atheist. For people at this level, religion is a tool, it isn't a sincere expression of their beliefs. So no, I doubt he gives two ***** about a white male being an atheist who loves to **** women consensually.
True to an extent - history is full of white men in Western culture (and other men in other cultures) having promiscuity overlooked. Promiscuity has cost white men elections when made public - but that is a different issue. Promiscuity and polyamory are not the same thing though. DeSantis panders. That means there is no value in pandering to the small percentage of people who are part of his base that would care about a white male sleeping around. I'm pretty sure most of the men he hangs around with probably aren't true believers of Jesus and are probably agnostic/atheist.
Discreetly sleeping around is different than polyamory - depending on the particular lifestyle. I highly doubt he would approve of my lifestyle, but I do not live in Florida, so at this point I do not have to worry about it at this point. I don't know if DeSantis is or is not a believer in a Christian God, and it doesn't matter - because regardless, it leverages it to control people, to pass laws to punish those that do not adhere. .
For people at this level, religion is a tool, it isn't a sincere expression of their beliefs. So no, I doubt he gives two ***** about a white male being an atheist who loves to **** women consensually.
You don't know my situation and I will leave it at that. I will just say that he would not approve, and his supporters are the type of people that would try to take my child away and punish myself and my wife. Having said that - I would not be the first group he would target, nor am I not without benefit (I am lucky) - but I am also not isolated from the groups he targets, because they make up the majority of the people I love and I am close to.
My guess is DeSantis would be more opposed to that I’m an anchor baby and has coached a transgendered athlete than that I’m not a Christian or my fidelity.
