Russians arested war criminal Igor Girkin, aka "Strelkov" (shooter in Russian), presumably for talking **** about Putin.

He's the dude responsible for shooting down Malaysian Airlines flight 17 back in 2014 in Ukrane, where 300+ innocent civilians died, for which he has been totally shielded by the Kremlin. But bad mouthing Putin was a crime so severe that the Russians couldn't forgive him.

Edit: I guess you could say Girkin is in quite a pickle?

Sounds like Trump. He doesn't care if you are a criminal if you are a Trump loyalist, but the minute you speak out against him you are the enemy, and his target for revenge.

Why cant folks just be honest and tell the truth? Zelensky decision to start his counter offensive in the Zaporizka region where it was heavily mined and fortified was a stupid stupid decision. It was heavily telegraphed and he had no chance of ever succeeding. The place to start was in the bakmut area where the russians hadnt laid sufficient defensive positions because of their recent attack. Before the counter offensive ever occurred zelensky literally went on national tv and said UKR has everything they need for a successful attack. Now suddenly they need long range missiles?

Im sorry but ukraine needs to start thinking of a peace deal

Both Russia and Ukraine have lost the initiative during their respective advances.

What the hell are you blabbering about? Who in the establishment is lying about the war. Nobody in the Biden administration has said ukraine is winning in the counter offensive. You right wingers literally just make **** up to get upset about. Utterly deranged folks

Biden has never said he's going give UKR long range missles.

Why did ukraine start their counter offensive in the south when they knew the region was heavily minned?

I am not sure why Ukraine does what it does. But landmines are hard to speed run over no matter how advanced the fighting force is.

Because all you lemmings kept banging on about how incompetent Russia was and how the Ukranian forces were superior especially with the unstoppable western force. Despite the contrarian opinion, all you did was call everyone who disagreed with you 'Putin bootlickers'.
Again, it was never about supporting Russia. It was an understanding of the harsh challenges the Ukrainian forces faced and a long history of the west abandoning their false commitments. You of all people continue to move the goal post to the point of comedic proportions.
Now you are asking why the Ukrainian forces ran straight into a mine field? It's because they are running out of options. They are running out of resources. They are running out of support. They are running out of soldiers.

I feel bad for the Ukrainians. I truly do. And there never was an easy solution.

There are no easy solutions. There is a solution, however. Russia, who invaded Ukraine, beginning in 2014, can withdraw completely from Ukraine and pay Ukraine massive reparations.

Rewarding the war criminal Vladimir Putin for his invasion of a sovereign democracy, his murder and maiming of tens of thousands of innocent civilians, his destruction of untold tens, even hundreds of billions of dollars of infrastructure across Ukraine? It would be akin to ending World War 2 before D-Day by signing a treaty with Hitler, giving him a chunk of Europe in the process. In my opinion.
