A terrible way to look at this. I've got a novel idea, until they catch the Rangers, put the best lineup out there everyday. Then put the best lineup out there 5 out of 6 days a week. This is especially true since both Altuve, Alvarez are out. No more of this sitting Altuve crap the next day after he goes 4-4. If he's so fragile that he cant play then not only is the team in bad trouble, but they need to move him next offseason.
Or maybe they win 5-4. We will never know because Dusty didn't give his team it's best chance to win in the middle of a pennant race. SMH
This is why Dusty needs to be playing his best lineups possible until his guys get back and reinforcements are brought in at the deadline. This teams ability to win another WS will come down to how good of a job Brown can do at the deadline and if he has the stroke to make Dusty fool proof. I would feel much better if Luhnow was making these decisions. However if Luhnow was still here then Dusty probably wouldn't be the manager to begin with.
Pena to the 9-hole. Chas should be leading off. Did very well there at the beginning of the season and Dusty hasn’t gone back to it.
More Madris, and batting 6th That’s on Brown cause he should know by putting him on the team Johnnie will be dumb enough to use him Diaz back but 8th Just awful managing
There is no reason why Chas should be in the 7 hole and Julks at 2. It makes no sense. Not to mention Diaz being behind those guys too. Just feels like there is zero reasoning behind these decisions
Was great there 5 games in a row and then he got hurt in the 3rd inning of the 6th...pretty typical of this season for the Stros
2 of the worst OBP guys hitting 1 and 2. bligh in the line up and hitting before Chas. Diaz at 8. this is an awful line up and we can’t keep affording Dusty’s incompetence this late in the season. We missed out on a prime opportunity yesterday to gain a game and now this ****.
You should always play your best lineup bur especially when you're so shorthanded. I mean why tf would you not? Does he just not recognize his best lineup? I don't get it
"Then, as the Reds drifted, then nose-dived late in the year, Baker insisted there was no need for urgency."
Lol @Chas batting 7th behind Julks and Madris. Yea ok dusty - sometimes I wonder if those toothpicks are laced with something
Why does Dusty insist on Dubon leading off and burying one of our best hitters in Chas down in the lineup? That's a true question - can anybody explain the reasoning behind it? And then Julks and Madris ahead of both Chas and Yanier. Please somebody explain the reasoning behind all of this.
