Yall cray, EZ 11/10 for me.

You know what IS NOT an 11/10 like yall CLAIM? The new black widow chick. She's like a little short pudgy baby human. She's hot for SURE, but people act like she's something ELITE and that's just not close to accurate. Pudgy, stubby, marshmallow human.

Saw it today, and it was actually very good, I agree with others the movie is more about power than just the back story of the creation. It left a few questions where you can interpret or check the history for your own perspective, the three hours had some very brief lulls but overall I never noticed.

Also, it was packed with many doing Barbenheim, while waiting in line there was a booth by the crowd for girls, women, or folks to pose for pictures in a huge life-sized Barbie box. I guess a couple of ladies were drunk inside and tipped the box over. We heard a loud, plastic crumpling crash and turned around to see pink everywhere with buzzed women laughing.

Drunk people act stupid and break something in America constantly. In Japan you act civilized in public. Who really won.

The first 2 hours were okay. I feel like the Trinity scene was blah due to Nolan's refusal to use CGI.

But the 3rd hour was just a bunch of talking heads in conference rooms. RDJ's character becomes the focal point of the 3rd act without really doing much in the first 2. And the story turns on the testimony of Rami Malek's character despite his barely being in the movie before his big scene. It feels like a completely different movie and an incredibly boring one at that.

Tenet was a bad movie and this one isn't much better. Nolan has made some incredible films but I think he's run out of gas.

The Oppenheimer documentary put me to sleep. I can't imagine what a feature length film would do. Snoozefest

Another note about seeing it in theaters - make sure the sound is legit. You don't want to just hear these particular sounds, you've got to FEEL some of them.

Still haven’t seen it yet but not surprised that it’s a lot of talking. Oppenheimer’s story is about deep philosophical questions of the use of science for war rather than action.

It ultimately is a chronicle of his life. It’s not a marvel movie.

They're not doing Oppenheimer in SA on the 70mm IMAX for some reason...I am not happy. Not sure where I need to go see it now.

Are you sure you didn’t take bathroom break when he opened the door to the multiverse using the Darkhold where Florence Pugh saved him with her martial arts skills?

Honestly it’s every movie for me…it’s cringe and I skip it when I am watching at home.

People with short attention spans might not enjoy this movie or any Nolan movies. You have to EARN the payoff with Nolan movies while enjoying the ride. If you want constant low-barrier stimulation take drugs.

I snuck coffee in and took a nap before. Gotta stay SHARP.

There were literally scenes with Robert Downey Jr just regurgitating explanatory dialogue about what was happening with ridiculous dramatic music blasting. It was verbal diarrhea.

The climax with the Remi Malek character over an inconsequential cabinet confirmation was just plain dumb.

I'm a huge Star Trek fan so I'm certainly not opposed to philosophical debates on screen. However the last hour of Oppenheimer isn't about philosophy but rather RDJ's character trying to prove that Oppenheimer is a communist as a means of revenge. I'm sure it's true to life, but within the context of the movie, it's a hard left turn (no pun intended) and, even worse, not entertaining in the slightest. You can make an entertaining movie that's just talking heads discussing a complicated subject matter (Margin Call being my favorite), but Oppenheimer isn't even that.

I don’t understand this. It’s not fiction. This wasn’t a made up character or event. It’s history. He’s recounting history.

I disagree on the emotionally sterile part. I thought they did a good job of leading us through Oppenheimer’s head space throughout the film. I feel like a lot of the criticisms of this movie are from people that went into it expecting something else, for some weird reason.

If you ultimately care or feel sympathy for this character (who was an actual real person in history)... the filmmaker has successfully tied emotions to the movie. "emotionally sterile" is basically this person saying he had no interest in this person and his impact in history regardless.

I guess they could have made up some fiction to tug further on the emotions? Like give him a dog who died because of the blast radiation? Or maybe he trips Einstein in jest on one of their walks?
