Diaz back to the bench where he belongs. Not! People think he’s going to start once Altuve and Alvarez get back, LOL. Unless he’s hurt, Dusty is just trolling the fans.

Dusty is already prepping for Diaz to sit on the bench when Yordan and Tuve come back.

Me too. If we can get one of the top available pitchers, I don’t care that much.

Dusty doesn’t feel that way. Look at the lineup

Maybe we could trade Dusty at the deadline.

Yea Johnnie Baker is a fool

I mean I get when he sat him against the LHP, but this team struggles against RHP and Diaz has an .861 OPS vs RHP, only ones better are Yordan and Jose and....nevermind

Johnnie is just a fool. Hopefully Javier is good and we blow them out anyway, we don't have our closer tonight so putting our best lineup out there would have been nice

Kessinger and Pena batting 1st and 2nd? Why?

    Maldy instead of Diaz? Why?

    Diaz hits RHP really well.

    why, Dusty?

We would have to attach Gilbert to him just to get someone to take him off our hands. Seriously

Pena batting 2nd has been BY FAR the best situation for this team, for a year and a half now. And the thoughts posted by a few on here that it only works with Altuve and Yordan surrounding him is simply wrong, just look it up. He has done well in front of Tucker too. And why complain about that today, Pena has scored 3 of our 9 runs the last two nights batting 2nd. Just leave him there

As for Kessinger leading off, I mean yea it seems weird, but without Altuve if you aren't going to put Chas there then i'm not sure there are any great options right now. Kessinger has at least worked the count, very limited sample size but he has got on base pretty well so far.

Maldy over Diaz is just ignorant

Dana: Dusty, Sir we have a chance to move within 2 games of the rangers, they are down by 9 runs

Dusty: my baseball spidey senses, honed over 40 years, tell me we should leadoff Kissinger and start Maldonado over Diaz

Diaz not playing is a valid question. Dubon not leading off is not. He’s been ass lately.

How is the Dusty brigade going to defend this one?

It's crazy that we are only 4 1/2 games back from having the best record in the AL.

Maldy over Diaz is getting criminal. It’s one thing if Maldy was a top flight defensive catcher and the starters were unhitable with him, but that’s not the case. It’s just tiring

Even before his recent bad stretch he was still a poor choice for a leadoff. Doesn't work counts and doesn't walk. Bad on base percentage

Dubon has been really good for a utility man, has been a bit overexposed having to play every day because of injuries.
