Hensley? Why? Wtf Dusty? Is diaz exhausted from his one day playing catcher?

I usually don’t get too bent out of shape over lineups… but this bothers me. The only time people like Hensley should play is if they are giving someone in the field a rest. Never… should he be a DH. Ever. It’s just a complete waste.

Id be ok with it but wouldn’t give up much. Alvarez or Dubon in left and the other at DH. Diaz needs to be catching every day. F**k Dusty and his BS.

If a DH is batting 8th, it's either an All-Star Game, or a Dusty lineup.

And yet, Hensley has better stats against LHP than Diaz and his 0.480 OPS this year.

So no. I don’t even know why Hensley is on the club.

Dusty is a legitimate reason. Not a great reason, but legitimate.

    Diaz can't hit LHP.

I don't have hope but I really really want Hensley to find his 2022 self

He can't do it on the bench.

Maldy is much better vs LHP. .644 ops.

Thats why I want a strict platoon Diaz vs RHP and Maldy vs LHP.

So far 71% RHSP, 29% LHSP

Who do you think plays more into the Astros future? Diaz, or Hensley? If Diaz struggles against LHP, the only way he'll get better is to face it.

my only concern is that this is not just a one off… his struggles against LHP have been well documented in the minors as well.

I don’t have much expectations of Hensley… but if he’s going to contribute this year, no better opportunity than playing in front of even less fans than he was in the minors.

I'm not saying the guy is going to be a future star or anything like that. I just believe he needs those AB's against left handed pitching. Hensley should only be playing when he needs to give someone in the field a rest. Don't get me wrong I'll still pull for Hensley, I just don't like the decision.

You don’t think he’s going to be a future star? Diaz has all the makings of one… his only major flaw seems to be against LHP (and maybe his proclivity to swing at everything… although he’s crushing a lot of what he hits).

Astros struggle to score 2 runs the entire game against the A's. Rangers score 2 in the first inning against the Dodgers. They may never lose again.

No no, I hope he will be. I just meant I'm not on here like the crazy Sengun only fans claiming he's going to be a future MVP. I think he will be huge for us. That's why I want to get him some more AB's. I don't see any other way to get him to improve those numbers other than actually facing LHP.

Why do you suppose that RHB Hensley would be a better option against a LHP than RHB Diaz?
