Rob portman who worked on the appropriations bill at the time wrote a letter to Obama demanding they fire the prosecutor for stealing money. Shortly after the EU diplomats gave a memo to Obama outlining the ukraine corruption that was occurring and threatened to cut funding to ukraine humanitarian aid.
