Just be warned Austin Reaves is ahead of every core player on the Rockets because none of them made the list. Austin Reaves made the list though.

    Austin Reaves.

    These people aren't serious people.

I agree, but those same fans will be extremely biased and will have little to no knowledge of the other players that aren’t rockets. I also value former/current players opinions less then anyone who actually does data analysis. Player opinions are worthless to me

not very surprising and not much of a bummer in my opinion.

jabari hasn’t shown anything to go into that kind of list.

Sengun and green both have question marks on the defensive end, and they played on a team with no system. I think if they were inserted into a working team like Mobley and the cavs, each would make the list.

for amen, they would pick less players from the current draft because these players haven’t played a single nba game. I think they would have skipped the current class totally if victor was not a generational talent.

All of amen, sengun, green, Jabari can be in that list next year. Just patience.

Nah. I think it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of talent evaluation and context for these type of yellow journalists. Also it seems clock baity.

No one thinks that the probability of Austin Reaves having a better career is higher than Green, Jabari Amen or Sengun unless you are.maling a ranking to maximize engagement. A boring generic lost doesn't do that.

there is the clickbait aspect for sure. But also just like Mobley, reaves was inserted into a functional team. reaves showed he can contribute in the playoffs. Swap Sengun and reaves, Sengun would be in that list, not just because of clickbait but reaves would look much worse here. If not Sengun somebody else would make the list.

Exactly. So it has nothing to do with talent. It has to do with having Lebron and AD on your team. Hence a lack of context especially if the question is "who will have the best careers" and not "who is the best now"

No NBA GM who valued his job would pick Austin Reaves ahead of any of the Rockets core 6 picks from the last 3 drafts. But here we are discussing this nonsense, so I guess the podcaster did his job.

Right now, Reaves is easily superior to any of our "core 6". He is very similar to how Harden was as OKC's 6th man.

He's closer to Harden than Sengun is to Jokic, that's for sure.

He's actually ahead of where Harden was in year 2, but both are hyper efficient scorers that are aggressive at getting to the rim. Both players are also currently playing under the shadows of 2 stars. Both players also started showcasing playmaking abilities early on. Both players are also good shooters and clock in at 6'5 though Harden was obviously much heftier.

Doubt it, there was a healthy amount of people wishing for Reaves.

So you're saying Reaves will put up 27/7 next year leading the team to 55 wins. Basically equal to Kobe
