Yes, but I actually agree with you that he complains too much. I think it pisses the refs off over time, even subconsciously, and leads to more bad calls. It annoyed me several times last season. Became a bad habit for several members of the team. It's a loser thing to do. Unless it's a challenge worthy call, just get on with it. (And even then, leave it to the coach.) I hope Ime teaches all of them to cut it out.
Big year for Sengun and Green. I hope they are honing in on their two man game. This season can make or break if they become superstars or not. And hopefully they found the balance of understanding the important nature of this specific off-season without negative anxiety.
Alpi is NOT the Rockets franchise player? Like Ive been saying, Alpi is one of the Rockets core players but not the franchise player so many think
I agree. The Rockets don't have a franchise player yet. Hype around Amen Thompson after single decent SL game is hilarious tho.
People who suggest they saw enough to KNOW anything are hilarious, I agree. But he did show a lot of what we are hoping for — athleticism, vision, ball handling, defense. I’m excited and hopeful but he will absolutely have to develop just a decent shot to become any kind of star in todays league. Speaking of his shot, check out this ESPN article about OTE state of the art facility tracking and analyzing shot mechanics. Both Thompsons participated. Amen apparently needs to focus on his lower body mechanics most. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...ve-new-technology-change-nba-shooting-forever But yah, ultimately, you gotta see him against REAL nba players in REAL NBA minutes. I wonder sometimes if Westbrook could become what he became if he came into the league today. Athleticism and aggressiveness can’t get you as far in todays league.
Some of whom COULD develop into franchise player — even KPJ has the talent to become that player. Jabari is the only one of our first round picks I don’t envision the ability to become a franchise player — but a superb roll playing all star. He could be the Pippen to someone.
Listened to thinking basketball podcast where they drafted players from the past 3 drafts on who they think will have the best career, no rockets were drafted (they did 14 picks). Not surprising but kinda a bummer
It’s probably the best basketball podcast that exists, if they’re idiots then who is there to listen to
Nobody. Watch the games and make your own opinion. These guys are just like the rest of the media, just a bunch of yellow journalists. Of course, most young people these days don’t know what that means, since history is being altered to be congruent with the woke crowd.
But i don’t believe i’m the most qualified person on earth to evaluate nba players…..do you think you are?
I think dedicated fans of a tanking team know more about the players on the team even with the homerism googles than 99% of NBA media that is out there. Most of these guys majored in English or Journalism in college, never played basketball and found their way into sports "journalism" so ya they have the same understanding of the game as fat redditors who never played team sports in their lives.
Anyone know if Sengun is “putting in work”? My sources tell me he is but this is unconfirmed at this time.
