Greenway is RPX only? WHAT THE HELL?

    Is this right?

    WHAT THE HELL?!

Where is there a decent (fake) IMAX in H-Tine? Do I have to go to the suburbs?!!!! Bad enough to leave the loop. OH LAWD.

One good news: started watching some of the non-spoiler Movie Reviews.

One critic commented that the sound mixing on Nolan's past recent films isn't an issue this time. No more uneven loud background music that unintentionally jump scares an audience, or drowns out the actors' dialogue track.

My significant other saw it early with a friend who reviews customer service, also called "mystery shopping," who often gets tickets to previews. They both thought the film was fantastic. The length (about 3 hours) was the most difficult thing about it, although it seemed to go quickly. I was busy playing trivia with the guys (we won). Plan to see it soon.

I think that Nolan not using CGI to make this is fantastic. I'm sure there are those who will disagree, but I think CGI is "easy" in comparison to the special effects I've seen over decades of watching films. While I've yet to see it, my guess is that it will have an impact on Oppenheimer. giving a more "old school" air about it, deliberately done for that reason.

The great director Stanley Kubrick made 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1968, an incredible film absolutely stuffed with special effects, without CGI, at least to my knowledge. I saw it the day it opened in Houston. Talk about mind blowing!

Why do Dallas and San Antonio have 70mm IMAX theaters and not Houston?

Obvious: Overcompensation, like more jacked up trucks per household in those cities.

Swing low, drive a car that I don't need a step to get in to, consume my movies on a regular movie screen, stay fit without steroids, that's my credo.

@Andre0087 already spoiled it for you with his riveting old man talking documentary. If you like to literally taste old dead skin and stale cigarette smoke in your documentaries, it's the one for you.

They likely won't for too long because there's not much money in it. The Marquee is true IMAX sized theater but they've gone digital.

Everything is going digital, whether cinephiles like it or not. That's why there's only 19 of the 70mm commercial theaters left in the whole country.
