When you claim Stroud is your guy, as an offer against a guy in the league. He’s the favorite. You’re claiming he’s going to have a better career, meaning he’s the better prospect in your mind. You’re the book at that point, so you offer odds or not. He’s your favorite, why would anyone bet even money against a favorite? Don’t try and change it now.
