That still doesn’t stop many of those smart educated Republicans from defending and supporting Trump. Only two of his opponents in the GOP primary are actually speaking out against him and they might not even make It tot he first debate.
There are just too many crazy people in this country that will ignore everything and vote for trump. If he does end up being the nominee we might see the most lopsided election night since Carter lost.

He will never go away and will be able to play "the maga base crowd" card even after he loses. They had a chance to get rid of him after J6 but they doubled down after they were afraid to lose the base, the base will go nowhere unless trump tells them to.
