No experience with UT obviously, but I think it generally goes the same for most schools. The "visitor" tickets are basically all snapped up for friends and family of the team and staff instantly. There's almost never any supply for fans of the team. What I do is call the home team's box office and ask where the visitors are seated. I then ask if they have any public seats available near there (almost always no but sometimes you get lucky), failing that I hit up SeatGeek (best place to get a very focused understanding of where you'll be sitting) and Stubhub (best inventory). Hope this helps.
Thanks for the advice, this is very helpful. I guess I'll have to hold my nose at the bucket list expense of seeing UT at Michigan Stadium.
Yeah, prepare to grab your ankles on that one for the worst seats in the entire building. If you want my UT/UH tickets I'll cut you a deal. You're one of my favorite posters.
I might take you on your offer - waiting on some confirmation. I'll have to get you beer or lunch one day to pass the vibe check
Thanks man, I really appreciate the offer. Unfortunately, we are moving out of Texas at the end of September and I won't be able to make it back to the state for a game in some time. Hope you have a good time at the game, though.
LOL fair. I'm setting the entry price high just in case by some miracle I end up able to go to the game. I'm terribly bummed I'm missing it. I was there for 2001 Bleachergate, so this would bring some closure after that disaster. Might be the last time these teams play (especially IN Houston and especially especially @ TDECU) for the rest of my life. I'm nowhere near Texas anymore, but I've held onto my season tickets with the Coogs because 1) pride and 2) it took a ton of time and money to get the booster status I have to buy the seats I got in the Yeoman Hall section. College Football is god's sport but goddam having a private lounge to go to with air conditioning and a clean shitter are NECESSARY in the Houston heat for me now on the super rare occasion's I get back to campus.
Colin Simmons, 5 star DE from Duncanville just announced: He’s a Texas Longhorn unless he flips but he's a verbal commitment now. I could see 5 star CB Kobe Black coming to Texas too. They’ve publicly let it be known they want to play together.
Single game tickets are on sale now. I'm going to the Rice game on 9/2 because it's the only one that will fit in my crazy work schedule before mid-October. UT now is partnered with Seat Geek on the secondary market (wonder why they stopped with StubHub).
UT vs UH tickets sold out in like 30 seconds why are we playing in their tiny stadium ? Why can’t they move this to NRG?
The first half offense was thoroughly unimpressive. A lot of the big gains came from athletes simply beating their man after catch. Ewers deep ball is.....not good.
