Actually @Bobbythegreat responded to my comment about Green, but you didn’t read that either did you? Do you know what per 36 means? That’s not the only metric you can depend on since it doesn't account for things like pace or player endurance or lost possessions etc. That’s why I presented numbers on how they score which shows the ability of the player. I also presented per 100 possessions and scoring rate. This is all for the latest season 2022-2023. Now all of a sudden you want to include the past 4 years. Sure and you know what? He shot .358 and .344 2 out of those 3 years you mentioned and only played 32 games in 1. And his FGA is 15.4 in those 3 years not 18-20. This is what happens when you do surface analysis and come up with quick biased judgements.

    You're still doubling down? LOL!

You've already proven that the basic concept of how increasing the volume of shooting leads to more points scored even when that scoring is highly inefficient, you're just embarrassing yourself now.

Do some more "research", perhaps you'll figure out how basic math works.

If every single poster here puts him on ignore, he'd just moan into the ether without a single soul reading his comments and eventually he'll just give up and maybe improve his personal life situation.

So to help Bobby let's all just ignore him so he can move on and concentrate on personal self improvement.

LOL. Tell me, oh simple one, how do you believe you "exposed me"?

I made an obvious statement, you replied with a very long non sequitur....I laughed at you for it and ever since then it's been nothing but a cycle of cope and seethe from you while you somehow claim victory.

All of this stems from you failing to understand that higher volume equals higher raw scoring numbers. I mean, that should have been embarrassing enough for you to stop there....but here we are.

Be honest with me for a minute, you do realize that you are coming off as an idiot right? I know you might feel like you are too invested to admit your shtick led to you saying some ridiculous things you can't back up....but you'd do better to just admit that and pivot back towards a defensible position.

Are we talking about Brooks or are we talking about Jalen Green?

Jalen Green is awesome, ok fine. But that's neither here nor there. We can also discuss how amazing Lebron or Harden are as scorers, but that also has nothing to do with Brooks being a terrible scorer.

What maximize limit are you talking about? I already told you Brooks didn't score 20 pts only because he played less than 30 mins, if he played 36 mins playing at the pace he was doing he would have scored 20 pts multiple times. 36 mins isn't some crazy mins lots of starters have that same amount of pt. You're making up **** now pulling it straight outta your ass.

Whats your proof you know what Brooks maximize limit is? If he plays more pg he'll get more attempts and he'll break thru that 20 pt marker. Will his efficiency drop even more? Probably. But that's what Bobby is saying take any dumb dude give him enough attempts and he'll score 20 pts. Talking about Green, red, brown, black is just irrelevant. Who cares if Green is gonna become an offensive superstar? That's just a strawman argument cuz that has nothing to do with Dillon Brooks.

This isnt Rocket Science wtf. Just look at Westbrook look how bad his efficiency is he's a career 20 ppg scorer how come he doesn't have a "maximize limit" to his attempts?

Exactly so Brooks FGA is only 15.4 that's why he didn't score 20 pts. If he took 18-20 would he score 20 pts yes or no? Isn't this what Bobby is saying? Lmao wtf is your trip bro.

    If he played pg??

He is a career 2 apg and 2 tpg player. He actually doesn't have the ball a lot in his hands. He's incapable. He simply doesn't have the handles to have such a load dribbling the ball. He's be like 4 apg 7 tpg player if he has the ball that much in his hands.

He lets it launch the most he can within his abilities.

I meant MPG, as in he played more mins. Playing at the pace he is. Playing he will easily score over 20 multiple times if he played 36 mins per game.

His attempts fluctuate wildly per season so you don't know if he reached his limit or not. For example last year he launched only 13 attempts but the season before he was at 16 playing similar amount of mins.

Ya so I would say around 16 is roughly the max +/- 2 attempts based on his ability to create shots for himself.

I guess if you give all players the high minutes they would shoot 3 PT attempts like a prime Miller/Allen/Curry

    Or
They would grab boards like a prime Rodman/Wilt/B Russell(Wallace) etc

    Or
They would be triple double machines like Oscar/Magic/Westbrook etc

    Or
They would be volume shooters like Jordan/Wilt/Iverson/Kobe etc

    Or
They would just max out at what they are naturally capable of doing on the hardwood

LeBron avg basically 20 or more shots with Cavs first stint due to lack of talent, then went to Miami with same ability but better cast and it dropped to around 16 per game

When Morant missed all those games Brooks should have easily taken 18-20 shots, but I guess Bane and others stepped up and took them, or maybe he just wasn't built like that, who knows

The poll results are interesting, given the fact that Sengun was far and away our best player last year (Craig Ackerman openly said that he saw it that way, too, and all the stats prove it), despite having a coach who resisted featuring him.

Amen looked great, but...one summer league game that got cut short. Jalen showed his scoring potential, but not that much else. Jabari improved towards the end of the season and had two nice summer league games.

    Anyway - we will see.

Are u stupid or are you arguing just out of pride? At this point I have to think you’re stupid. Did you just neglect the numbers I showed you? He magically pulled 18-20 FGA as his basis for his argument and specifically said Brooks needs this to score 20 ppg and said any player in this league can score 20 ppg if given the FGA. Based on what? He did not quantitatively explain why he thinks this or why he chose 18-20 as his reasoning. Do you understand basketball?

Let me spell it out for you then. If you’re the best on your team as an offensive player you will be fed the ball and you will get touches. This is simple and it goes back to playing ball at any level. And if you are the top offensive guy on your team and can shoot or get to the paint consistently then you have more FGA and more minutes naturally. This is due to ability and not about having more shots. This is why when you go look at the numbers you don’t see Draymond Green or Kevin Huerter on that top 15-20 list. Look at the top 50 in FGA. These are dominated by the best scorers in the league. Why the fuc$ would you give the ball to Brooks as your main scorer when he isn’t an iso or off the dribble guy? Why would you give Huerter that opportunity? That’s dumb as shi+ and to argue anyone can score 20 given the FGA is simply false. This idea then would devalue the achievement and elite status of the top players in the league and using this logic, the argument then: “players can score 30 if given 20 FGA” since several of the top 10-11 scored 30 or close to 30 ppg.

There’s a reason players play less minutes or not have the same FGA and it has to do with ability. The top 50 players with high FGA all play over 33 minutes or above and range from 15.6 to 22.2 FGA. Does this mean you give Garuba 20.1 FGA he would score like Embiid? Or how about a starter like Poeltl? In the top 51-100 players these guys avg at least 30 min a game. They range from 11.4 to 15.6 FGA. Some of these guys are scoring 20 ppg with 15 FGA or less like Banchero, Butler, Bridges. Again all number one options on their team with lots of passes to and touches. Not only that, these guys can get to the rim. Meanwhile guys like KPJ, Giddey, Jrue Holliday don’t score 20 while avg about 15 FGA a game. The numbers show these players can’t get to the paint consistently compared to the dominant players in the league, this may explain why they have less FGA while playing 30 plus minutes.

The conspiracy theory Brooks is being denied shots is stupid since it’s unproven and that’s not a standard practice of coaching, which empowers players to score and play within their game. Players like Dinwiddie or Sabonis aren’t getting 20 despite playing 35 min a game or so and the second best offensive player on their teams. Are coaches limiting these players shots? Again, its about ability to score and ability dictates FGA. Besides it’s not like a player can jack up a shot at any point in the game. Brooks can’t just jack up 4 more shots a game. There’s a lot of factors in game that would make it difficult besides player ability such as opposing defenses preventing him to score, times he would be open within that 4 min or so less he plays than Green, passes thrown to him etc. And the per 36 is simply a normalizing metric and not to be used by itself when analyzing players.

The argument holds no weight and illogical and just stupid. Otherwise you and @Bobbythegreat could score 20 ppg with 18-20 FGA.
