The org is big on KPJ is the defense of blind men that don’t recognize the org was big on Harden until Ime got here.

read the tea leaves. Kevin already has, of this I’m sure.

play your fun with cherry picked stats and ages while ignoring the exceptional traits of Green and clear trajectory.

Smoke your heroes before they get smoked

What "exceptional" traits? That he's highly athletic and he can run fast and jump high? Is there anyone who denies that?

    What "trajectory"?

After two years he's inefficient on offense, not good on or off ball, and he's one of the worst defenders in the entire league.....what "trajectory" does that give him?

You have to give Green one more year to prove whether he is worthy of all the expectations on him. We all know that the last two seasons was so chaotic that we can't really judge what each of the kids can and cannot do. The only thing you can tell is what kind of tools they have and assess the possible upsides.

I will give him more time than that even, but I don't think most other fans will though.
Look for the Trade Green threads if he is still struggling by the All-Star break.

    I
That is not on KPJ - JFChrist - that is on the entire youth, it is about the lack of leadership, of course KPJ wasn't a winning PG, the team sucked and the coaching sucked, they are happy to have both now.....

FVV is not a GREAT player, but he is a very good leader, he will help just by that.....it is not a slap on last year's players, it is a breath of fresh air for the entire org, but KPJ HATERS like yourself are gonna twist it to be about him, when it is about the team not having leadership and everyone being young.

    FFS.

Still on whatever the **** page number we are on, no one has been able to explain the vitriol and hate a HOUSTON ROCKET PLAYER gets for doing exactly what he was asked to do by the org......it is staggering the hatorade some of you are drinking.....and you call yourself Rockets fans....might want to reconsider that.

When is the last time some of you said Something POSITIVE about KPJ?

I don’t understand it. He’s had two years in the NBA under a terrible culture and trash coaching and now he has to prove he’s an allstar this year or he needs to be traded? Just like people were already ready to give up on Jabari after one year being 19 years old with a coach who admitted he doesn’t run any plays for him. It’s just crazy.

Kpj sucks as a pg period. He's is talented to play in the NBA and for us he would best b utilized as a sixth man.

That's literally what a lot of folks been saying.

It doesn't matter if he was asked to play pg, man didn't realize his limits and what was best for his team and let his ego explode with I'm head honcho claims and everybody else development suffered/stunted while silas played favorite.

Granted there's a lot of Folks on here that just want kpj gone regardless of his skillset and ability to play the game bc of past transgressions

And Sengun sucks on defense at the most important position on that end of the floor. Sooooo….

Well it's his spot to lose. Kpj already lost his pg position to fvv, which was not a surprise man sucked at pg.

Sengun is currently is too talented that it looks like we running it back with sengun regardless of some folks "defensive" concern about sengun

KPJ is actually the guy who lost the most from the big Dillon Brooks contract IMO. We're not going to be able to get rid of Brooks, and Cam Whitmore will quickly be nipping at KPJ's heels for the 6th man role. Bigger, stronger, cheaper, better defense, more potential as a scorer.

Unless KPJ takes a huge step forward this season, I think he gets traded at the deadline or traded/released during the next offseason.

They traded away assets in hope to replace Sengun, that’s how bad they wanted to. KPJ definitely isn’t a good PG, I agree.. kinda like how y’all blame the perimeter defense on Sengun being trash, I could make that excuse for KPJ and guys not hitting open shots. Trust me, I’m happy to not see him run the offense anymore

I was thinking that as well. I think he would be the starter if we didn’t sign DB. That **** is gonna give little room for error, so he better step it up or he won’t have a spot in the future

I think Brooks will eventually move to the bench to make way for Eason or Whitmore or KPJ.

kpj can earn his spot in the team but definitely not in the core as of now. And it has nothing to do with hating.

    1) his contract doesn’t say he is in the core, actually quite the opposite. Also, who else in the core would accept a contract structured like that?

    2) off season moves indicate that he’ll lose his starting spot. Why would they do that if they considered him part of the core? It is not like they brought in brooks to mentor kpj.

It will be a tough season for him. A lot of pressure to do well, nothing like the previous seasons. We’ll see how he handles it.

KPJ is not a pg and he is not SF. He is a combo guard that is best suited to coming off the bench as instant offense. Playing with the second unit, he will be tasked with what he does best, scoring. He will probably be the primary scorer off the bench. He will get plenty of ISO opportunities and clear out opportunities as will Amen playing in the half-court with the second unit. What will determine if he becomes integral to the Rockets winning is his attitude and defense and whether Cam is just too good to hold back.

It’s really tough bc we need DB to guard those bigger wings, but we need KPJ’s shooting/scoring. I think Eason is gonna play the 4 off the bench, and Whitmore will be with the vipers

There’s a lot of pressure on all of young guys. Don’t forget they tried to find a starting center, but struck out. Guys that don’t play defense won’t see the floor as much under ime, he’s not gonna put up with it
