I don't see why Ollie wouldn't get a shot someday - 15 year NBA vet , super successful NCAA coach. He basically got screwed over by the NCAA/UConn for trivial recruiting violations (that would no longer even count as such in the NIL era )and later won his arbitration against them - something i didn't actually know.
Love our guys, but taking off my homer glasses I would put each combined group at around the same level, with Cade being the best prospect of the bunch and their pick having slightly better expected value. I suppose their decision on continuing to tank might depend on where they land in the draft though. If they get Wemby, wouldn't you think they're probably done losing intentionally?
This just says the same thing I said, the potential is there but right now its just potential, esp after this season where he played horribly and had a phantom injury that kept him out all season long. He aint legit yet cuz being legit means that production is already there and at star level like say Anthony Edwards.
I wasn't super impressed with Ivey in our SL game. I'm still buying his stock, but he didn't dominate like I expect 2nd year highly drafted players to dominate.
Crazy to think that Detroit has Ivey Wiseman Duren Thompson Cunningham AND Bagley. Monty and a winning team will fix that.
Cade kinda low key sucks. Gonna be one of those maxed contract home-grown borderline all-star types. Ivey has a decent ceiling, but he is a scoring point guard, and those players aren't MVP types. Duren is a role player capped. Ausar has high ceiling like Amen, but also has incredibly low floors with being out of the league in 3 years. Pistons FO is probably the only FO dumber than ours. There is a reason why Rocket and Pistons have been stuck at the bottom of the lotto for 3 years running with no signs of improving. Rockets FO tried to make a splash and go for that 35 win season this year. Pistons likely will finish worst record again this year.
Hahaha, so harsh. Just about every play was against the same poor kid, #1, from Toronto. Thompson single-handedly ended that kids profession chances. (EDIT: the infamous Grade E Dick was the poor kid, hahaha.)
