Yeah bc you keep trying to prove the same points, which are just false! Stop trying to make him out to be something he’s not. I’m a big Jalen fan too, but I’m not gonna deny ****. He was poorly coached, so optimistic about him improving
The amount of people that read this that believe you are a competent arbiter of what is false and true is nearly non existent so I think I'm okay with you making a unsubstantiated claim that what I said is false.
Pffffft one of the biggest kpj stan accusing another poster of being an only fan. Stop derailing the thread
I like KPJ, but I’m not here blowing him every single day. I like every player on the team, minus Sengun. Definitely not a player only fan lol
I'm so pumped to see whether Bari retains his summer league confidence coming into preseason tbh. If he starts raining threes and super silky middies whilst buying in on defense, he might not be the "franchise" yet but he could possibly be the best player on the team this season which is crazy compared to where he was last season.
The best thing from Smith in the summer league was that he seems to have made multiple jumps in his ball handling. He doesn’t need a plethora of ways to get to the hoop, but he just needs to have a couple moves encounters on his straight line drives, and he looks like he is well on his way to developing that. His height and length will give him an advantage in finishing. I think that it will be about one more year before he really breaks out but you are looking at a guy that will be a three level score. His awareness in passing has also seem to grow so I just don’t know what his ceiling is anymore. Are used to feel like he had to be a power/center but I am reevaluate that after summer league. Maybe he can be a big wing. Just was really impressed with his handle. I’d love to see him work on a couple post moves next.
I sure hope so. Gotta say, bookers jump shot is sound, butter. Jalens form is a lot more… unorthodox. Jalens shot is easier to block and not as consistent I feel like. If you say so. It’s easy to see videos of both of them and slow motion jump shots. Booker is much more fundamentally sound. Green starts with his elbows popping out and sometimes pushes it in front of his face where he can’t even see the basket. It shouldn’t be hard to admit that Booker has a nicer shot than Green.
I wonder who the most polarizing player would have been in early mid 90s of this forum was around I'd imagine it would have been sam Cassell with some folks arguing he should start over Kenny and others talking about true shooting percentage to justify Kenny is better. I bet someone like rhodrick rhodes would have a small cult following Ala Nix and house. I can totally see a I have grown to hate Vernon maxwell thread.
I never admitted he doesn't. Green's shot is still relatively.in the grand scheme of.the league fluid. Curry's jump shot is less traditional than Booker's. Go to 30 second mark. His release is well suited for contested off the dribble type shots. Elevation is really high, a fluid one motion shot. It is by no means bad. So yes Booker is a better shooter. But again Green's efg% was higher than Booker's first two years. And that's because Green was better at his 2s. He is a more talented driver to the rim due to his better physical gifts like his elite speed and shiftiness.
Definitely Chucky Brown for those two years. The guy was a huge weakspot as a starter on a team that just won the title two years in a row. He was the Nix of that team for sure, and it was just amazing that a guy who was barely an NBA player could start on a repeat championship team because the front office did such a terrible time at that point of refreshing the talent pool after drafting Cassel and Horry... then doing next to nothing to bring in young talent, or find decent veteran role players.
I'm sure you can find a single clip and I'm sure he'll share a clip where Green gets the ball dumped to him with 5 seconds left because no one else could create a shot.
Funny you accuse people of being player only fans when they like Sengun considering he is the only player that even plays team ball. Liking him literally is hoping the team does better than isolation inefficient offense. I like every player on the team and hope they all succeed. I just think they all have a better chance of succeeding if we ran more offense through Sengun. There are a lot of positives of KPJ's game, being a point guard was just not one of them. He could thrive in this new role with FVV we will just have to wait and see. I am more curious to see what our starting lineup will be. Will they realistically bench KPJ or even Jalen since one of them seems to be the odd man out. Then with 3 guards needing that many minutes, where does Amen get to play. It almost feels like we have to make a trade or we are going to stunt Amen's growth.
The guy I was talking about is a Jalen only fan.. it is gonna be interesting to see how they do the lineups. Ime will figure it out without a doubt
