Most liberals in here fell for it hook, line and sinker. Remember the attacks from the liberal sheep in here towards other members who dared to question anything this flu….errr Covid related?
if you squint, you can see my street popping fireworks. ironic thing is people got more compliant post summer 2020 and have only recently been reverting back. this was known almost a year ago at least after Lund University released their study.
Sweden (as far as I'm aware, open to new data) has had higher excess death rates than two of its neighbors Norway/Denmark(in EU), and simultaneously didn't have any statistically significant benefit economically compared to them either - link So it seems like a tough thing to gauge to say "if only others" would have taken the same route, what were the benefits in comparison to its similarly geographically located, cultural, and economically situated neighbors? That argument also goes both ways, it's good to ask what was the significant downside of Sweden's route was too. What was done (in comparison to its neighbors) is an acceleration of disease in 2020 and early 2021 that resulted in fewer complications in late 2021 and 2022. A point that feels relevant to me, considering that action, is just how nice of a country Sweden is. Looking at Western countries that have the lowest excess death rates, something stands out - Nordics, Australia/NZ, Canada, Luxembourg, Swiss, and Germany are all on the low end. These are all extremely well-functioning societies that perhaps could have afforded to go the fewer restrictions/accelerated disease route, but other poorer countries, with populations in worst health, and healthcare systems in greater dysfunction may have not faired as well as Sweden on a similar route. Again, feels tough to gauge, and also again Sweden didn't seemingly fair any better statistically economically to its neighbors that DID introduce stricter restrictions. Economics and social interaction were still greatly effected by the pandemic without restrictions. Other points from posts on this page I find interesting and will comment on - Peterson and JFK vid getting removed sucks, better late than never on Australia removing the requirements (see the never part at Santa Clarita UC), and on the post calling Covid just a rebranded flu - all the excess deaths that we experienced would beg to differ, life expectancy in the US dropped nearly 2.5 years during Covid. At this point, in the post covid era with the population's immunity, different story.
Probably surprised to learn this is an outright and disproven lie.. Officials: Hank Aaron died of natural causes https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/officials-hank-aaron-died-of-natural-causes
Fauci conspired with scientist to commission an article debunking the lab leak theory, when they all knew that was the likely origin. Perhaps because Fauci was trying to cover up his agency's funding of research in Wuhan.
