Yeah, if he is on the team, behaves well, plays well, he should get the minutes he has earned, like everyone else.

Talent-wise, he is in the top 8, so he should be in the rotation if he is still on the roster when the season starts. But there is a roster crunch still, if we really want to develop Amen.

    PG: FVV (28), Amen (20)
    SG: Green (28), KPJ (16), Whitmore (4)
    SF: Brooks (28), Tari (8), Amen (4), KPJ (4), Whitmore (4)
PF: Jabari (24), Tari (20), Jeff Green (4)
    C: Sengun (30), Jabari (6), Jeff Green (6), Landale (6)

Hard to squeeze them all in. Feels like one more trade might have to happen.

    agreed.

feels like the first half of the upcoming season is KPJ's last chance. Early on he will be able to pull minutes from the guard and shooting forward rotation that likely won't be available later in the year if players are developing and performing to expectation. he's gonna have to make a pretty definitive case if he has any hope to stay. like beating out jalen green type of definitive case. and not a soul outside dadakota thinks that's a plausible task.

This might be Jalens last year to prove himself. We have enough franchise players between Amen, Jabari, and Segun

We know KPJ is better than him at almost everything at this moment

Between KPJ, and even Whitmore, Green will probably be the much more expensive shooting guard so he might want his production to show for it

I'd argue that there's A LOT of players of all ages that could average 21 a game if they were allowed to chuck 18 shots a game and lead their team in usage. It's not really that special....but most teams would never allow that kind of thing because of how detrimental that kind of thing is to their team.

The Rockets were in a position where they wanted to lose, so they let Jalen do his thing and shoot them out of game after game.

I think it's funny that some are hilariously fooled by volume chucking into thinking Jalen is a good palyer at this point in his career...he was one of the worst players on the team last season.

I'm not sure there's really a reason to remember Tate. He honestly shouldn't still be on the team, there's not a spot for him.

Hopefully someone is willing to give up a protected 2nd for him before the season.

As opposed to KPJ who already is a locker room problem....

There's a lot of stuff on other teams going on. Veteran players are smart enough to not let leak.

I think the culture is going to improve dramatically.

We'll see, it has potential to get worse though. There will be a LOT of egos to manage. DIllon Brooks is coming fresh from a team that wanted nothing at all to do with him due to who he was both on and off the court and he's locked up for 4 years. If he doesn't get featured enough on offense, it's going to get bad.

The same could happen with FVV if Amen threatens his spot.

There's not much worse than vets who think they are superstars that are getting pushed out of starting roles.

I have him at 20 there (4 at SF), but whose minutes would you reduce then? Jalen's? That's what I mean by roster crunch.

If Green is competing with someone for his role it’s Jalen Brown. He’s on a rookie scale contract and the players that surround him now fit his game.

there is little to insinuate Jalen will be fighting it out with KPJ for the starting 2 guard

I’m just saying homie. Between Amen, Green, Jabari, and Sengun, Jalen seems the most replaceable when it comes to who gets the money come contract time

If Jalen isn’t showing he’s that guy it might be less of a headache to trade him and split what would be his super max between KPJ and Whitemore and even Tari

I think Jalen and Sengun have the most to prove to hold their spots

I think Whitmore spends most of the year either in the g league or on the bench. Uncle Jeff likely is getting Boban minutes only - situational/injury plays. His presence will be felt more in the practices where he will be showing people how to play the right way. The games he doesn’t have to worry about. Landale probably acts as the 2nd big. You also are missing Tate but honestly, I think he should have been traded for a future pick already. He is far more valuable to a contending team as a solid role player.

Why would you split anything up with whitmore? You don’t have to pay him for years. KPJ is on an exceedingly less friendly deal when his guarantees begin to kick in.

what about the pets KPJ emphasizes. Sulking, ball dominant, poor instincts. A worse defender than his skill set would indicate. What screams Ime play me in his history?

are you seeing videos with KPJ and JVV working out together? What are the context clues you could use to fill in the gaps you are missing?

    Not gonna argue there.

You pretty much hate on everyone not named Porter. Udoka will probably have to win Coach of the Year before you come around.

Which led to him getting kicked off the team.
