You don't have the facts correct and they are part of the attacks on her that wouldn't be made against a male politician. Here are the facts. 1. Brown was already separated but not divorced when he and Kamala had a relationship. They were openly dating for a prolonged period. 2. Kamala was already assistant DA for Alameda county at the time they started dating. 3. Brown wasn't elected mayor of San Francisco until after the two broke up. Perhaps, you should question why it was so easy for Harris' political opponents to fabricate such a story and why it was so easy for you and so many others to believe the smear campaign. Even though, Harris was already an assistant DA and Brown wasn't yet the mayor, nobody claims Brown slept with Harris to advance his career. The attacks only happen because Harris is a female.
Who knows why she did. She was already the assistant DA of Alameda County and Brown was not yet mayor. Brown also helped Nancy Pelosi, Gavin Newsom, and Diane Feinstein with there careers but he didn't date any of those folks. So the idea that Harris needed to date Brown for help with a political career that was already underway before they started dating isn't based in reality. It is based on an idea that women often can only make it to success because they sleep with men. It is refusing to give credit to what she already accomplished on her own before the two started dating or that she was qualified on her own merit for the offices to which she was appointed, or elections that she won.

They broke up before Brown was elected. He wouldn't be at the swearing in ceremony with the person with whom he'd broken up. She got to assistant DA because of the work she'd done. She won an elections years after she had stopped dating Brown. Biden was able to choose whoever he wanted. He chose Harris, and together they beat Trump. It's hard to say it was a bad choice. Harris isn't my favorite and wouldn't have been my first choice. But there is zero evidence she only advanced by sleeping with Brown. They were in a semi-long term relationship. She'd already advanced prior to that relationship. You trying to make an issue of the fact that Harris wasn't with Brown at the ceremony is meaningless since the two had broken up before he was elected.
