The Dodgers ~12 through ~17 drafts are just stupid (didn't look further), no high picks, and the players they found....**** those guys

LAD, HOU, and CLE, imho the 3 furthest ahead teams in terms of talent evaluation, all drafted players rated much lower than where they were chosen. They either identified a talent other teams didn’t, know how to manipulate bonus pools better than other teams, or both.

Huh? He's a college baseball player who didn't play football there. That's not happening.

I guess it’s possible, but highly improbable unless Matthews was a special football talent; and if that were the case we’d of heard that already.

Mainly saying the baseball draft is by far the toughest to gauge, picking 1.1 is a pretty big crapshoot, once you get to the end of the round I really don’t care what the prognosticators think, you just have to hope you can trust your GM and his team

Cmon dude. You really that confident in your ability to identify/evaluate all the amateur talent out there better than the Astros front office that you’re gonna jump out of the gate and label this pick a “waste”? Pretty silly.

He knows. He's scouted all of these HS and college players by watching some stuff on the internet.

Second coming of Drew Henson? Casserly thought he was so smart with this 6th round selection!

He looked on MLB.com, saw that he was ranked 57th, and concluded that the Astros do not know what they are doing.

Looks like the best athlete we’ve drafted since Springer.

but...but...but... he was ranked 57th on MLB.com. When I heard "best exit velocities in the draft" I was okay with the pick

...but he played both sports so he must be one of "those types"

Reminds me of the Zach Daniels and Jordan Brewer picks. Super athlete, rare power/speed, plays up the middle, late bloomer in college. I like the ceiling but anytime a college player has a track record of striking out, it’s a big risk.

I will say, when we go college bat in the first round (and probably second, as well), I prefer more BB than K, but for now I trust that Brown is doing his job well.
