Bregman isn't exactly doing the Astros any favors with his .480 OPS in July. Hopefully the All-Star break does him some good; he's been such a disappointment this year in a season when they really need him to step up.

We just look outmatched in every facet of the game. Thank God for Neris remembering how to pitch after loading the bases last night, otherwise we'd be looking at a 4 game sweep. Dana Brown has some serious work to do if we want to compete.

They need to rethink their plate discipline methodology

Don’t let the walk fool you, Maldy can’t throw anyone out stealing.
Peña with the error was unfortunate, but nice play to end the inning.
Maldy doing a great job with bielak huh?
Also, hard line drive to Right center, but not to the wall or anything, and our elite CF with a “fine arm” can’t beat kelenic to 2nd lol.

No need to steal when Maldy can’t catch the pitches either.. at this point, I’ll play C.

Dubon leading off is not working. He’s swinging on nearly every pitch and getting out in 2-3 pitches. The rest of the lineup tends to follow his lead and no plate discipline approach. He’s supposed to be the table setter. I don’t know who should be there though. Maybe try Tuck? Chas did well there in very limited sample size earlier in the season.

Astros can't muster up anything against the Mariners.

They were so lucky to win yesterday. Need another miracle today..... Failing to make up ground on the struggling rangers.

Thank God the Rangers have been sucking, because losing this series will nullify last weekend.

It doesn't help that a certain catcher is glued behind the plate.
