I’m listening to his interview on MTP and it’s pretty interesting. He’s positioning himself as a moderate who isn’t a culture warrior. He’s been discussions how he is at odds against his MAGA legislature.

Not a culture warrior. I am guessing still doesn’t want gay people to get married. Wants to throw mj users in jail. Wants to make abortion illegal. Enjoys a Supreme Court that let’s money infiltrate into every facet of government.

His argument is that he doesn’t think those issues are as important. He’s governor of a state though dominated by a legislature that does so he has to deal with it.

It’s an interesting argument because it almost
Sounds like he’s campaigning against his own state.

What I got overall from his interview is that he’s a throw back to a Steve Forbes type Republican. A wealthy businessman who wants to contrast himself to culture warriors to focus on business. One of the commentators just said “he could be Mitt Romney’s son” I don’t think he has much of a chance but still interesting to hear in todays GOP.

    He isn't a culture warrior?

What are his thoughts on increased cost of living and price fixing schemes for basic human needs?

    I understand why you would
Consider economic issues as cultural issues and they certainly affect them. For the sake of current US political debate issues like price fixing and inflation tend to be separated out from issues like abortion and LGBTQ.

To answer your question directly he did address inflation and he does blame Biden politics for those. He stated while he supports
The goal of things like the CHIPs act he feels
They’ve been loaded with too many things
Like union requirements that is leading to price increases.

I don’t think he said anything about price fixing but only saw the broadcast interview and not the full unedited interview.

Then he's useless and your typical libertarian Voltaire's Pangloss type person we've seen time and time again in American politics advocating for the increased wealth divide in this country.

If his solution to "inflation" is "no more labor unions" he's an evil son of a b**** who only cares about maintaining the current social and economic hierarchy. We've been through this type of politician decade after decade, each time enacting their polices(entities like labor unions have become weaker and weaker for the past 50 years) and the wealth divide keeps on increasing.

Why do we still listen to pathetic people like him still? Why do we put on this dumb act and pretend they have ANYTHING worthwhile to say?

Again I don’t think he has much of a chance and even if he does win the GOP nomination Im probably not going to vote for him. He is thought different than what much of the Republican Party is like and he’s taking an interesting tack in going after his own legislature. You might not see the difference but I doubt you’re his target voter.

    I see the difference.

The role of the Mitt Romney type politician is to make sure the wealthy elites have a advocate for them. They don't need to pander to the working class white people to get on board with their agenda. White right wing culture warriors exist to make sure the white working class is on board with the Romney style policies.

These are two types of politicians having a symbiotic relationship to advance the same agenda but it needs to be two prong. One prong to convince the poor white working class that the wealthy white class are on their side with the same cultural agenda and the other prong is to convince with wealthy that they still have advocates for their goals.
