Growth mindsets for the win. Can't be afraid to change your mind as evidence comes forth..... Amen looked very good, and was using his left hand a lot, his smoothness on his bursts are different - his ability to change speeds and directions is a big advantage in basketball. He may or may not play early in the year on the big club, couldn't hurt him to start in the Gleague for a month while Ime figures out his rotation, but I like him more than any of our other high picks so far.....maybe the third time is the charm.... DD
No offense to @DaDakota , but I've been on this website, as a member, for 21 years (a year or two longer as a lurker), and that is the best gif I've ever seen posted here.
Oh I think that one is hilarious! Which is why I liked it. I just find it funny that I live rent free in his head so much that he took time out of his day to do that for me,......that he obsesses over me, I am his man crush....he so desperately wants my attention......come on in for a DD hug big Bartow.... DD
Can someone name this phenomenon? When someone posts constantly on a public forum and then they're surprised when people respond? We have a lot of them here.
DD hasn’t always been the boards Stephen A Smith but he’s a good sport. @DaDakota I am glad to see the content of your posts go back up. IIRC there was a time when everything was short responses and not the passionate posts I remembered from back when I joined this forum.
Can’t do the most important thing: shoot Amen won’t impact winning for 2 years If Amen takes a couple of years in the G League Amen won’t play Amen has a lot to work on to be NBA ready Amen won’t be in the rotation Amen is going to the G League Trade the pick! Lively will impact winning this year! (One summer league game later) “Amen is special. Rockets got this one right. He is the Rockets best draft prospect of the last few years.” On Cam Whitmore:
He was in my top 3, but I was very concerned about his shooting....still am, but his ball control, passing and hesitation speed made me think he has special athleticism and IQ. i am still worried about his shot - and that might stop him from being all he can be - I just like his upside....that is why I said Maybe....I don't believe in Bari, he has Role player written all over him, Green has zero charisma and leadership ability, so am hopeful that Alpi or Amen can become a star or we are going to be in draft hell for a long time. Yes, JR. I changed my mind thanks for taking that hour out of your twitter addiction to look all that up, you missed a great day. So ****ing what? Nice that you care enough though Do you have any opinion about Amen? Oh, and I do like Whitmore a lot, his power and aggression give me hope there too, and pre-draft I liked him better, thus the mind change thing I mentioned above...thanks. People so obsessed with what I post, it is nice to be loved. LOL Nothing wrong with posting about the thread topic whatsoever, it is meant to drive discourse, it is when the 3 or 4 DDingleberries on here try to come in and make it about me the poster instead of the topic at hand. Think about this thread, I got excited by seeing Amen play, and wanted to share that with other Rox fans.....but instead I spend some of my time arguing with trolls who just don't like me, who could put me on ignore, or simply ignore it but nah, they want to come in and troll - most of whom don't even ****ing contribute to this site and are a bunch of freeloading folks anyway...just sad. My apologies to you for roping you in with the Troll brigade. DD
On one hand, it's just 3/4 of a Summer League game. On the other hand, dude is a jumper away from being the second coming of TMac with better D and attitude. At the very worst he will be a roleplayer in this league at the Rondo level.
He is not Tmac, Tmac was not a great shooter himself, probably in the 32-35% 3 pt area. But he was one of the best scorers like ever when he was 22-23. Durant like actually who viewed Tmac as some kind of role model. Only in Houston he turned into a passer because he needed to re-invent himself. Dude just played a shade of himself differently, he was a different player in Toronto, a different player in Orlando and a different player in Houston, NY, Atlanta, Detroit, Spurs, China, wherever.
His one three that he took looked better than other times that I've seen him shoot the ball. I wish it was a bit more fluid, but it's miles better than what he was doing in OTE.
Changing your mind is a powerful thing, but I don't think that's why you're getting grief. I think you're probably getting grief because he didn't show anything different in his first summer league game. He showed exactly the same skills we (eh, most) already knew he had. Changing your mind when the information doesn't change just mean you're illogical, it doesn't show open mindedness. Maybe specific instances of him vs Scoot, another player who's clearly nba caliber could represent new information, but he's always had speed, ability to change direction, and he's always been able to use both hands. Maybe it's You do seem to have a fairly unique set of haters, I'll give you that, lol.
