Great, GREAT post! The treadmill of mediocrity is the proper step-up from the elliptical of suckiness. These tankers and "developers" who think you can go from horrible to championship are completely delusional.

The one young player I had the most hope for developing into a starter from the ones traded was TyTy. I know we had a glut of guards but I would have held onto him.

Or at least a capable b/u that also can shoot a bit. He didn't do much in limited playing time in the NBA, but had his moments in the G-League. He may never be great, but we really didn't even kick his tires--gave PT to Nix versus TyTy was poor player management/development.

You don't like giving up, basically, the equivalent of two years worth of draft picks for Alpha Kaba? I mean....

We had a glut of shooting guard. The point guard position was actually the weakest with KPJ a non-PG and Nix a non-NBA player. Yet, TyTy was stashed in the G-league.

The other thing I don't understand is why they felt the need to get rid of a bunch of young talent to pick up a 35 year old vet who was not going to lead us to a Championship. We are not in that window. Just poor planning all the way around.

What is Alpha Gaba's deal? We got not him but his rights. Where is he now and for how long?

The odd part again of not keeping Allen & Levert was Rockets got older often injured vet Oladipo. AND were going to extend him. They were competing the first half of the season. Its only after Christian Wood got hurt, that the Rockets lost too many games THEN decided to tank after the fact.

Oladipo was traded for Kelly Olynyk, who was an expiring and part of 2nd half tanking. But he was actually one of the few to excel in Silas's system. Even if he eats up some future salary, that seems a mature vet presense to at least try to keep. Compared to telling John Wall not to play for 2 seasons and Christian Wood being your "leader".

I dont mind Green over Mobley. Like, Harden has his lackadaisical moments in OKC. Its about the surrounding professional culture

Guys, Garuba and TyTy was hard move to other teams. I know these guys were 1st round picks but HOUSTON had to give 2 2nds to take them and their salary. Even 1st rounders do not make the league…no value

If Josh Christopher blows up and becomes a stud, Stone will be fired....that is the problem with stashing too many kids at once.

We paid 3 2nds to dump Patty on OKC, OKC gets a 2nd to swap Patty for Garuba and Washington

OKC gets Garuba and Washington + 4 2nds for nothing

Rockets FO looking like MASSIVE doofuses here, we did a complicated 5 team S&T and sent the wrong players to the wrong teams and lost value for it.

It was obvious that Stone doesn't have an idea about basketball when the news emerged that he went down the court and got involved in tactics during Silas' training. Those who trust this baldness have learned their lesson now.

    Worst GM in the league.

So Presti got three 2nd round picks from us for Patty Mills and plus another from the Hawks for dealing him there? He literally flipped a Patty for 4 second round picks. Presti out here playing chess while Stone playing checkers.
