Both general managers are building up franchises from the ground up. OKC have young assets of Josh Giddey, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Jaylin Williams, Tre Mann Cason Wallace and a host of others. While they also have the talents of Lu Dort and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as hold overs. The Rockets, much like OKC, have flashy young pieces. For Houston, it’s Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, Tari Eason, Alphren Sengun, Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore and holdovers such as Kevin Porter Jr. and Jae’Sean Tate With the new veterans of FVV and Dillion Brooks.in this latest free agency What do you think? Many people are saying to fire Stone and praise Presti but both of them have not won a ring yet as a General Manager. OKC got a legit star from the Paul George's trade-SGA and we opted to go after draft picks. I think we have more talent than them right now but they have our draft picks and many others in the future. Also, they started their rebuild before us as well. We played them 4 times last year, we won the first two and they beat us the last two games...split They were in the PLAY-IN and won more games, also Chet Holmgren will be back this year OKC HOUSTON PG- SGA PG- FVV SG- GIDDEY SG- GREEN SF- DORT SF- KPJ PF- J WILLIAM PF- BROOKS C-CHET C- SENGUN Each teams have a all star point guard
Presti is Jalen Green Stone, Morey, Fertitta is Josh Christopher Presti keeps bending over the Rockets.
OKC’s situation is nice and Presti has made a lot of good moves over the last few years besides trading away Sengun. But he had a young core of KD, Harden, and Russ and only got one finals appearance out of it. That’s not great.
Dear Rafael, Presti has drafting Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and James Harden back to back to back to back on his resume, as well as Reggie Jackson and Steven Adams. He has sent a team to the finals. It's certainly within your power to pass him. Let's revisit when you have a season above 25 wins.
Stone aka "I view Nix as a lottery level talent" that Stone? Who also just wasted assets to dump his recent 1st round picks. that Stone? Man tough choice. OP really has got one here. hes been on such a roll
Is this thread for real.... Presti is miles ahead (right now). But he has also been doing this a lot longer than Stone.
I mean there isn’t any evidence that stone is even good yet man come on. He wanted to extend Oladipo He wanted to trade assets for and give a bag to Aaron Gordon and make him a core player He didn’t plan on tanking. His plan was a mediocre team. his draft picks are high upside but none have hit yet. He just paid to dump three first rounders that have less than 3 years experience. the Brooks sign and trade is a brutal use of assets as it stands right now regardless of how you feel about the player.
Looking at our talent between both teams, we are very close? Giddy vs Green? Sengun vs Chet? Last year at the Summer League, Jabari outplayed Chet, however SGA is elite. Our high price free agents is going to help us win more this year.
Right now it's Presti. I don't like that Stone intentionally tanked the past 3 years. We'll find out this season whether Jabari, Jalen and Amen are the real deal and were worth the tank.
Presti? James Harden was traded for Jeremy Lamb, Kevin Martin, and etc.....Presti even traded Ibaka for Oladipo, Ilyasova, and a first round pick. Seriously? For Oladipo. By the way, I heard Silas begged for Oladipo in the Harden trade
He basically drafted in the lottery the players that teams were expected to draft at those slots. He threw a bone out to Eli and took Sengun....... most of his other first rounders the last three years are no longer on the team, and he gave up draft picks to get other teams to take them. He did a Frank Layden type deal with Dillon Brooks - that will work out I am sure.
