Y'all can forget about kpj starting at the 3 and he won't be playing back up pg. KPJ is going to be a backup wing if he's still here. Ime isn't stupid. He saw those fake ankle injuries.
I like Aaron Holiday as a 3rd string PG When the 'searching for a combo guard' thread appeared I went over all the ball handling free agents still available. The only decent options who A. Didn't turn the ball over much B. Locked in on defence C. Could shoot the three Were George Hill and Aaron Holiday. I would have preferred Hill as that end of bench vet. But Holiday is a better on-court option these days. No need to fast track Amen's development now. We can be patient with him (I hope Holiday only plays if someone is injured - because it means Amen is developing well).
Good depth pickup. I'm not convinced KPJ won't go back to his old ways and get pissy about his reduced role. If we're forced to DNP/trade him, Holiday can slide right into the rotation.
KPJ will get most of the minutes off the bench for the guard positions with Holiday getting some minutes as the 4th guard. I think Amen with start the season in G league to get more playing time and develop his shooting.
No way Amen is going to the G-League. He can back up 1-3 and he will be one of our best defensive and transition players right away.
It’s a fine veteran depth signing. He has some point guard skills which we need as insurance for a FFV injury, and since we inexplicably paid Atl to take TyTy. Obviously not a difference-making add. I’m assuming there’s no consequential move coming other than what has already been announced
Actually conversation -Holiday "Will I see minutes with KPJ here?" -Ime "Don't worry, KPJ will F up as usual and you'll get that spot. If he's not traded first... lol" -Holiday "LOL" -Ime "LOLOLOL" -Holiday "Muuuuaahhh lolololololo" *Silence*
I mean, folks wanted more shooting. As a backup guard, he is a career 37% 3pt shooter, shooting almost 41% last year. 43.5% Catch and shoot threes last year as well. https://www.nba.com/stats/players/c...lar+Season&TeamID=1610612737&PlayerPosition=G.
Ime: "Okay, KPJ, you're in for Fred!" (uncomfortable looks from players on bench) "Kevin! Where's Kevin, did he go take a crap?" Sengun: "Eğer sıçtıysa, icabına bakmak için eve giderdi." Ime: "English! English! I told you before!" Sengun: "I say, 'If he did go poo-poo, he went home to take care of it.'" Holiday: "He left, coach." Ime: "GODDAMNIT!"
why is that? Holiday has played and produced more in the NBA. TyTy has talent and skills, but is largely unknown quantity. If we want to win games Aaron’s minutes will be much less scarier than any TyTy or Amen minutes
NBA teams don't use their minor league as a development league, not really. Some people feel like it's a "disgrace" to go down and get minutes. It's more of a "stash a guy here and do something with him if he pops" kind of league.
He really does have a sweet stroke. Looks effortless. Nice pickup by Stone, although I don't understand what Stone is doing otherwise.
