Is the 3 point line the same in OTE as College bball? I thought OTE was nba range.

 

We'll Morant is a good example even with the a funky shot he still one of the best PGs in the game.

Now that he's a Rocket I hope Amen succeeds and proves his doubters wrong.

 

I'm a massive doubter and didn't want us to draft him but since we have him we need to play him. I don't want him to get buried on the bench because he can't shoot. He should come off the bench the first 4-5 months but we can't or shouldn't limit his minutes the whole season. I think the first couple of months since we have fvv, kpj and his shooting form is abysmal he will not be getting more than 20 minutes but after that period even if he keeps coming off the bench he should be getting at least 25 minutes. We played Jabari right? He was horrendous. He deserves a similar treatment tbh.

 

Same here, not an Amen fan but somehow semi excited ....rather watch him than Dillon Brooks.

Went back and forth on Amen but I think he’s going to be a really good player with a chance to be elite if he can shoot around 33% from three at a minimum.

Can’t wait to see him in summer league with the weapons he’ll have.

 

Kawhi is someone that had a totally busted shot but incredible body and frame and a similarly almost robotic personality.

 

OTE is same as NBA, so that whole analysis is pointless, yes.

 

Maybe a little more upright on the jumper (feet closer together).

Form can be fixed. Amen seems to have a great work ethic

 

If he can be Shawn Marion with handles and passing, I'll be satisfied.

 

A few people in the comments said the video is old. I’m glad that it is.

 

I think the outside shooting will come around to a point where it is serviceable. What he will thrive at is using his speed and handle to penetrate and pass (vision), creating opportunities for others and playing good defense. If he can do those things at a high level out of the gate, he will get playing time. Will be interesting to watch him this wknd in Vegas.

Im sure there will be TOs and things, so please don't come on here saying he is a bust after a couple of summer league games!! You know how yall do.

Damn, this is getting me excited. Amen's passing looks legit. Amen and Alpi and FVV...damn.

The ball movement in the second clip is better than anything I have seen from KPJ and Jalen in the last two years. With that kind of ball movement, I could see Jabari getting a LOT of open looks!

 

Yeah, that's not what Amen's shooting form looks like in the year of our Lord 2023, thank goodness. It's still bad but much more workable than that.

I remember someone on Twitter once commented that 'amen's shooting mechanics is one of the ugliest he've ever seen, pretty close to Shawn Marion'.

 

It seems bari wont add any muscles anymore…in real games, that ez look dunk ain't gonna happen in the paint, especially for bari.
