KPJ is very important to our team because he can score 20 points a game, he can rebound and play good defense. I think he is going to FLIP OUT when he realize he is starting on the bench
Watch him prove what most of us been saying, he would Excel as the sixth man with his talent if he puts aside his ego.
DD all of last season: KPJ is doing great as a combo guard. He's fine! Y'all just dumb and can't see what I can see. Rockets FO as soon as season starts: We need to find a starting caliber combo guard ASAP! Rockets FO after signing FVV: We would like another backup combo guard!
We kept him at a PG role for way too long when it was obvious from the beginning he doesn't have the vision. Let's see how he fairs as a pure SG/SF. I kinda don't blame him in particular, our backup pg was Daisen Nix
This is going to be interesting because KPJ and Jalen Green are going to compete for the starting role at shooting guard. This is where we see who's the real deal.
Look, it depends upon how he looks at what just happened, if he views it as disrespect, he may need to go to another team. If he looks at it as a challenge, he will eventually win a starting job because he is better than almost every guy on the team, even Brooks and FVV whom we just signed. He just needs some accountability and teaching. FVV is not a great player he is an average joe, who is smart and steady, but he isn't someone that you think will ever be a super star player, KPJ if he learns to be more steady with the ball, he is already a better shooter & creator, but he is a worse defender and turns it over more, he learns from FVV to play D and protect the ball....FVV will be relegated to the scrap heap. Brooks can't shoot, if KPJ just learns D from him, Brooks will be dumped....should never have given Brooks so much money. But, if KPJ is insulted because the org asked him to play PG and he said sure.....and now feels disrespected.....which is understandable, he needs to go. I personally hope he takes on the challenge and forces IME to play him....if IME truly will play the best players, KPJ will play plenty. DD
The worry is you haven't heard anything from him, nor has he posted any videos of him working out, and for whatever reason, none of the people following the team have reached out and asked him how he is taking this challenge, lots of folks cracking jokes, but so far no one has actually spoken to him it seems. DD
I think by now we should realize that there was never going to be any true competitions for roles or minutes, that was all just Udoka lying. He's already started naming starters that would never be able to actually earn them. I think he just said all of that because he thought it was what the fans wanted to hear.
