Bol Bol did play well for part of the season. He's technically listed as PF, behind Banchero and J Issac. At center they have Wendell and Goga. They're also keeping Franz's brother around: Moritz Wagner. Lot of front court players.
Would be a great matchup / distraction to Wemby. Make him play Defense on someone his size and get him OUT of the paint while the Rox are on offense.
Yeah, now that Isaac is back......they needed roster spots for wings and guards. Getting slightly smaller is not necessarily a bad thing.
Sengun is our great Center. If u don't think he is, give me a name 20y old and has Sengun's stats. Dude has the same stats When Jokic was 20. Stop being a hater. If he was drafted 3, and USA citizen like Jabari, u all say he is already a superstar.
If they were to bring in a 3rd string big, I would go with Bamba over Bol. Better shooter and defender. IMO
He's great on offense and also brings the ball up in Orlando's system occasionally, so I do think he'd at least be a good fit on offense. On defense he's absolutely terrible though, as mentioned by some here. So you'd need pretty specific lineups that can hide his defensive woes, maybe it would somewhat work together with Jock and Brooks, Bari (if Bari develops on d).
Both Bol Bol and Mo Bamba would be interesting choices for our 3d string center. Bol Bol isn't really strong enough to defende the Embiids of the league, but he gives us rim protection and some playmaking. Mo Bamba should be the perfect 3&D center but he is bouncing around the league. Both would be cases of: Ime can fix him. But he will have his hands full with all the other things he has to fix and maybe we are expecting a tad much from him... still, if we can get either of them very cheap on a short deal, I would be fine with that.
