Maybe 5 years ago, I disagree these days. Unless he has a crazy SL champ & preseason I think they'll have to give him minutes early with Brooks signing & with Tate apparently staying, don't forget about Eason.
There’s nothing to disagree with because the track record speaks for itself. No top elite picks are sent there that don’t end up being busts
Man, they're a bit brutal. One of them picked us to finish last again in the conference. The other guy wonders if KPJ will last until the end of pre-season before essentially exploding from coming off the bench. @DaDakota won't like hearing that. Both love Fred and Fred's game, as do I. A little crazy to listen to, but far from the only takes like this we're getting. Something we "bought" with a serious 3 season tank job, leading up to this off-season with a good draft, and $60+ million in cap. Cap room that hasn't been used nearly like most of us expected, I'm guessing. Not so much with Fred Van Vleet, now that the TO for year three has calmed the waters there significantly, but the way everything else has gone up 'til now. Stone has to be like the frog in the pot slowly getting hotter, an ending he won't like creeping up. However, Coach Udoka, his staff, and year 3 for Sengun and Green, year 2 for Jabari and Tari, combined with the new additions and the rest of the holdovers, with still the chance of a surprise, could toss a life preserver into that simmering kettle Mr. Stone finds himself in. Maybe.
KPJ probably 5-6 inches taller than FVV and just getting dominated by his defense, lol. People are really underestimating how good of a defender FVV is and how effective he can be. Reminds me of our Kyle Lowry/Chuck Hayes era of undersized tough guys playing above their height.
We will see how mich kpj has grown when hes not the head honcho anymore and hes not given free reign.
Both Green and KPJ got owned a few times in that game, they only played FVV once this year as the 2nd game was against Nix. DD
I just love that we got FVV. Even Brooks. All we’ve had for the last couple years were Eric Gordon and our young players, so I’m just excited about seeing some different players wear the jersey. But especially FVV. I just think he will do so much for us.
Yeah man, same here. He was easily my top FA target. I really feel like the things he will teach our young guys will stay with them the rest of their careers and ultimately help them become winners.
Jalen just needs to remove all the noise and distractions and immerse himself in training and improving his game 24/7. Success kills everything and winning/achieving goals makes everything else irrelevant.
