It was just all the people Crane hired. Except for the one that people don't like. Never mind that people b****ed routinely about Hinch, Lunhow, and Click when they were here too.

Yeah. I thought that couldn’t have been more obvious as to what you meant. Him getting the 5th inning was absurd. Him getting another hitter after Dusty came out was managerial incompetence

Hinch actually had a 100% approval rating in 2019 in a Bleacher Report survey... soooo...

The way wins and losses are recorded in MLB is stuck in tradition... the pitcher giving up 1 run late will get the loss instead of the pitcher that gives up 8. Dusty thought he was giving Javier a confidence boost by allowing him to claim a win despite the horrific performance. It is very old school. Heck that's why Odo hated being piggy backed or being an opener in Tampa.

I wasn't a Hinch fan, he cost his team another championship.

I would put Dierker above Hinch although he doesn't have the ring.

I've always been a Dierker fan, both as a player and a manager.

I would also put Hal Lanier 4th on this list, although you may not have been watching the Stros when he was the manager.

Is Jimy Williams so far down you don't even rank him?

Art Howe did a great job with the youngsters and got them to .500 in ‘92. That was an amazing accomplishment. However, Drabek, Swindell, and Eric Anthony sunk that ship the next year. What a disappointment that ‘93 season was.

My oversight... Jimy was a development manager on a team that needed a manager good with veterans. I will have him at 6.

As for the 1991 team... half the team was too old and the other half was too young. Then the 1992 draft was completely botched (Nevin over Helton and Rhine over Giambi, Helton, and Hinch).

Dierker was not a particularly good manager. Explain to me how he was?

So are we conceding the first game from the break against Ohtani? Benching Diaz... giving Framber more rest despite being +2 days the normal already? Bligh starting? I am so confused.

Conceding? JP has a better ERA than this Oh-tani person.

I swear JP is the Rodney Dangerfield of Astros players. He gets no respect.
