So I just had this guy who was coughing his ****ing lung out in the private dining area of the AA flagship lounge in Miami next to me for two hours (in the booth next to mine).

He is clearly very very unwell. The lounge attendants called a doctor for him. After he left, they put gloves on and disinfected the entire area he sat in. But I guess since he bought the ticket, he wants to fly.

Or course, then I get on the plane, and he and his wife/girlfriend sit right next to me, for the next 10 hours.

Flight is delayed, dude has been coughing nonstop ever since we got on the plane.

He's ****ing patient zero, I'm telling you.

    We are all doomed.

Only saving grace is that I am more than one bottle of Grand Siècle deep into this mess.

    Thoughts and prayers appreciated.

A little cough never hurt anybody. Enjoy your flight, let it fester in you, and don't forget to spread it to others when you arrive at your next destination. God bless.

This won’t make you feel better, but I’ll share my tale of woe about my recent flight. I took a nasty fall in KL a few weeks ago. Wife insisted we have Dr come to the hotel. He said it was a sprained ankle gave me a shot of some witchcraft medicine in my ass, and gave me a couple of “prescriptions” out of his bag. One is not approved by the FDA, but I figured it couldn’t be too bad because it said “made in UK”. The other one had an active ingredient of “papaya.” I basically spent the next three days in the hotel room cuz it hurt too damn bad to walk, then we flew from KL to Singapore, Singapore to San Fran and San Fran to Houston. About 36 hours of planes and airports. Had arranged for MY Dr so see me on the day we arrived, and she took some X-rays. Turns out my tibia was broken at the ankle and some nonsense bone in my foot was broken. Been in a cast since. GOD I hate the whole flying experience. I love to see new places and cultures, but it’s DAMN close to NOT being worth it to me because I hate getting there. This event may have tipped the scales.

Hope you get well soon, @Pole

(Meanwhile, Patient Zero is still continuously emitting parts of his lung into the cabin...)

even in international first class (not on US airlines), flying is annoying when you got someone with ****ing ebola or something next to you

oh, and the gay flight attendant asked if he "can tempt me with some nuts"

    back off bro

do I look like ****ing josh christopher or something

thanks. Hopefully the cougher just has the world’s worst allergies. Or leaves everything in his will to you, so you can go out with a bang.

It was good knowing you ATW, thanks for the heads up on the zombie apocalypse. Please tell me where you are landing so I can know where ground zero is and I can plan accordingly.

Had a friend go to Colorado for a week in June. She comes back and starts posting that she is now allergic to Texas and the heat and she wants to live in Colorado. Turns out she contacted Covid on the flight home.
