Ironically, the Astros may have turned the Rangers into that team that totally overpays for any available pitching at the deadline. Both teams need it. Both teams won't do much in the playoffs without it. At least the Astros have a bullpen with experience and track records... but they'll be exhausted if they have to support the AAA rotation much longer.
Chas played every game with the exception of one against the rangers. Guess what was the result of the game where he didn't play?
That's a stupid move. Bielak has a 1.61 whip. Similar problem to Montero, and the luck he had earlier in the season is gone because he's just not that good of a pitcher or quite frankly MLB material. Blanco has much greater upside and the one much more likely to stick as a future Astros starter. That's just a bad move. Dusty: Head. Ass. Extraction.
I don't know what else needs to happen, but not playing Chas in the OF every single day is damn stupid, and trading him would be even stupider.
Gotta admit when I saw him I had a renewed optimism going into the 9th. Glad to see Abreu and McCormick pay it off
Doesn't mean he's out of the rotation. Bielak was sent down how many days ago? And it turned out we needed Dubin. Though I don't know whether Dubin had Bielak's roster spot or not.
True, but he's been one of the random starters we've been running out there recently, I forgot Dubin in my first list. They're just shuffling guys around right now. Somehow we've gone 8-4.
Chas knocked in the first run of the game, and the last. And it only took 21 other runs in between in order for that to happen.
Said the same about the 2020 team, but the wheels fell off much later than expected with Framber, LMJ, Urquidy, Greinke, and Garcia. Top 3 in league SP ERA if I recall.
Nope. I’m a rabid, passionate, intense fan. You are just a Dusty fan and a hinsighter. Hindsighters don’t ever get my respect. You’re all a bunch of dweebs to me.
