Oh he gave you a resounding answer. Jose Abreu Last 32 games 7 HRs 28 RBIs .815 OPS 162 game average 35 HRs 142 RBIs
Trade deadline will determine how good we get. They need a veteran pitcher SP. I don't know if we can let Javier pitched 2nd game of the series, if we make the playoffs.
Actually its the opposite for you and that has been even more obvious for years. I have loved the Astros since Bill Virdon. Dusty is a shitty manager. He sucks beyond belief (elvis costello) and you are a Dusty first kinda fan. I’m really happy for the win, but you are right, I can’t stand Dusty. He is a terrible manager.
Agreed. He likely has a dead arm. Which is what this team was always trying to avoid with him back in 2020, 2021, and 2022 based on his usage. Then he dominated the playoffs as a starter, got paid... and they just figured his arm would evolve to something else? Hopefully they'll get some reinforcements and either go into a 6 man rotation, or just give him a mini IL stint similar to what JV got last year.
Moves to make: 1) OF Bat/DH 2) High leverage relief pitcher 3) #2 or #3 tier starter 4) DFA Maldonado now!!!! Dusty needs to get his ****ing head out of his ass. Abreu obviously needs to be switched out with Neris, giving him less pressure in the 7th inning. Neris is having his 2022 Stanek season and we must utilize it to it's fullest benefit. Get rid of Maldonado. Don't even want to see him as a backup catcher right now, for fear that Dusty will quickly reinstate him as the starter. Ultimately I'd like to see Dusty fired at the All star break, but that's not going to happen. So we must deal with the bullshit the rest of the season.
