For myself, I make no claim about the future.
What I would say, is that you can look at the likelihood, potential or probability that one thing may occur over another.

In this case, it is my view that these signings raised the team floor significantly while also raising its ceiling.

These seem like good things to me and raise the potential that this team could exceed expectations. Maybe by a lot.

Max has been officially canceled. No one can ever shut up JVG, so we should hear from him regardless.

Is it me or does this remind you of a reverse Money ball "overpaying for pieces"

I would assume Moneyball would rely on your team being a good team, otherwise, overpaying for talent is a requisite to rebuild your team's reputation.

Doesn't mentioned the Rockets being used by Brook Lopez and his agent, or Stone not having a fallback in his back pocket. That, and other things he could have mentioned. Instead, goes straight to Bruce Brown going to the Pacers after his Cinderella view of our free agency, which is fine. His show. Can't say I was terribly impressed, but I hope his optimistic view comes true. Who knows? It's not over.

But the twitter nerds are really upset about the adjusted TS%....??? I don't know what people were expecting from this off season, but this is a team trying to surround its young core with toughness, experience, and leadership. I like it.

LeBron James and James Harden also were massive advocates for Russell Westbrook. I've learned not to trust NBA player evaluations from one of their own.

The stat nerds and casuals had a fantasy of developing a team full of 19-23 year olds into a championship contending team.

I’m not understanding how anyone could be unhappy. Maybe a B grade at the lowest because of the overpay on Brooks but the team has been remade in one offseason while still retaining the most promising of the young talent. Plus a top coach at the helm… solid A grade from me.

Free Agency isn’t where you find your stars (usually).

If Green, Jabari, Amen, Sengun aren’t DUDES the rebuild is screwed anyway.

Udoka obviously has a vision & is adding specific complementary pieces to support and develop those guys.

The guys they moved weren’t going to get any run here, so had to let them go. If they flourish elsewhere, so be it.

Brook Lopez isn't good enough to need a fallback. If not getting Brook Lopez is Stone's only mistake, then this offseason is a success

I liked KMJ, but your post makes it sound like he was a cornerstone for this team. He wasn't that good.

Anyone with more than 2 braincells know that while the contracts are not ideal we got the names we needed. Our perimeter defense is a nightmare. We sit at the bottom of opponent three pointers made stats with 14.5 while the league average is 12 sth. That's at least 6 points. We absolutely needed Brooks don't even dare to s.hit on that dude he's exactly what we need at the moment. Jock guy is useless he's easily worse than Theis and isn't even a rim protector but it's only one year guaranteed. Fvv was the best available pg we could get. Him and Sengun will work so good and now we have 2 good playmakers that wil create wide open shots for others at the wing. No excuse now they will make their shots or they are gone. This team will be significantly better than last year. We will win 30-35 games. That's playin territory. We needed a pg we got one we needed a perimeter defender and now we have one. With that If one (or 2?) of Jabari, Jalen, Sengun takes a leap we are cooking.

If we win or lose, it's not going to be because of Green and Jock. It's going to be because Green, Jabari, Sengun, and Amen, are playing up to their potential. Green and Jock can help with that under Ime.

I loved KJM as a player. I wish we kept him. But I'm working on the assumption that what Ime is doing is putting professionals around our young talent to help said young talent reach their potential. KJM wasn't going to do that. Uncle Green might help Buckets do that.
